I'd have to disagree that he's just standing there. Dancing with another person is extremely hard and it takes a lot of work to get in sync with each other. Considering that he isn't a natural or experienced dancer, I thought he did a beautiful job and the two of them together was hypnotic.

y'know ed isn't particularly hot or all the things most girls think of a 'sexy' guy as, his hair is all cute and messy, no bad boy hair styles, his handwriting is so messy, no six pack :) but there's something about ed that is distinct, the emotion with which he sings, the heart behind his lyrics and the fact that his songs are beautiful, without naked girls or swear words. this song just touches something in my heart. It's rare in this generation to find songs about love and just pure love. I'm glad our generation has someone like Ed Sheeran :)

Thank you for this song. I know I'm a bit late, but I heard it for the first time yesterday. I've been away from my husband, helping my mom take care of my elderly dad. He's 70, she's 67, they have been together since they were 19 and 16. My dad was pretty sick and for the first time I saw true fear in my mom's eyes, fear of losing her true love. This song came at an emotional time for me. I say I love my husband, but I had no issues being away from him. This song reminded me of when we first married, I clearly remember going to bed with my lover, cuddling to sleep with my very best friend, and waking up with my husband, whom I adored in every way, and who treated me like a queen. Somewhere along the way commitments, disappointment, struggles and life got in the way. I realized I missed that relationship we had so very much. I was driving the streets of Austin recognizing how much I still adored the man I was married too, and my heart ached for him. I had been spending far too much time putting others before my marriage. It won't be long and he'll be 70 and I'll be 66. We won't have been together for 50 years like my parents, but that doesn't mean we can't still adore each other when that time comes, and right now. Thank you again for a song that came at the right moment and touched my soul, bringing my heart back to the place it was, not so long ago.

Total respect to you for choosing to dance for this video. Instead of going on mainstream tv to grab the dance limelight, you took the dance challenge in the name of your own music and I think that's so special. And boy do you deliver! It hooked me in, I feel it, I get lost in it and I will admit I have to watch it regularly. HAVE to! It keeps me coming back again and again. The emotion comes across in every move you both make, it's up there with the final dance of Dirty Dancing for me. It stands apart from the other music videos out there, in the same way "Guns in the Sky" by INXS and "Yellow" by Coldplay do. It pulled me into the song and, as your choreographer says in this video clip, I now see the dance when I hear the track on your album. dance is not only an art form buts its a very serious athletic sport. the art is making it LOOK effortless. i took dance for years and i was ripped man. so i don't blame him for wanting to quit its so hard. and he was doing some seriously hard moves. i'm so impressed.

I fell in love with the song and then I fell in love with the video. I absolutely love that Ed Sheeran actually danced it himself through so much hard work that it pays off beautifully. One of my top favorite videos of all time. It brings me to tears and every time I watch it I have to put it on repeat and fall in love with it all over again. I feel like this song and video is proof that true love and real romance is still out there to be found by anyone determined to search for it... Also means I still haven't found it yet. It's never too late! This song and video made me a fan and I have no regrets! Can we all just appreciate the fact that Ed Sheeran danced in his video. He could of gotten any other guy to do this for the video, but he was bound and determined to learn and be the one in the video to dance this. Not many artists would do that, he slimmed down some and took time to be taught the dance. I just still find it amazing.

Great video and it gives me an even greater appreciation for Ed's skill to be able to do that with no previous dance background. He seems to be able to translate the musical feel directly into the dance. I also loved the touch of the "heart light' at the very end with the two spot lights on the floor casting a heart shaped light pattern around them. Very nice.
