@@canefan17 Same title but totally different songs. Steve Earle’s song is totally different and far superior, it’s a classic in Ireland. Ed has written some great songs, but this isn’t one of them. Just my opinion tho, if you like it, best of luck to ya

Maddie Close no, it’s a violin. a fiddle and a violin are the same instrument, the difference is the genre that’s played. she is playing a violin, the type of music she is playing is folk/traditional so it’s classified as a fiddle

I think it's because Galway Girl is a folk song so it's public domain and not protected by any copyright, so they were able to use it.

I love how the iterative process when it comes to working out a new song is usually going "Muh, muh, da, da, da, da, hey, mm, mm" while you vaguely strum along and then occasionally someone goes "Yeah! Exactly!" and you write it down. Music really is a language all it's own.
