This song fill my heart with love and appease it. I lost my mom 8 years ago, I was 26 and had just gave birth to my first and only child 3 weeks before. It was (and still is) the hardest event of my life. Since I heard this song, I feel better. It's like Ed put words on the emptiness I feel since her passing. I want to learn the guitar to be able to go and play/sing it on her grave. 🥀

Beautiful! Touches your ❤️. Turned 65 today + not very healthy since birth! Was always mobility probs, yet now hitting organs incl brain! We ALL need to appreciate the smallest things in life, and cherish our loved ones! As we never know for how long we will have them. Miss so many and wish I could visit them in heaven, also. This song reminds me so much of my Grandad. One of the biggest inspirations in my life, a man who taught me to be a gentleman. My wife got pregnant with my first born about 2 months after he passed and it was an honor to name him after him. He was the only person who never judged me for decisions in my life but when I first heard "I'd tell you that I'm scared of turning out a failure" it really got to me That's exactly the person I would admit this to and the one person who would respond with exactly what I needed to hear.
