The reason would be that ordinarily the vocals for this song (and others in the production, in both the original version and later productions) are backed up by onstage or offstage cast. The 'I likes' and choruses especially, such power that the part requires is not often possible by three girls, considering that in three part harmonies, there'd only be one person to each line. Adding extra Heathers makes sense for this purpose. The on or off stage Heathers would double lines or have different lines to the original Heathers anyway, so why not just put them on stage?

Exactly! Why is it that it doesn't matter what the Heather's look like, but the second its Veronica she's has to be a cookie cut out? Specific hair, look, and weight. I understand type casting I truly do, and I get her best friend is suppose to be the plus size one, but why can't they both be plus sized. As a plus size actress myself I see this happen time and time again, all talent and personality goes out the door because your body type isn't what they are looking for. This is the one thing I hate about this industry!

It doesn't make sense because this movie is about a girl joining the most vapid superficial clique in the school. Veronica can have all the same characteristics and it would still make sense. However the characters of the Heathers would have to change for them to accept anyone who could not easily be transformed into someone who looks just like them.

In my opinion, the actress who plays the lead Heathers voice isn’t quite rich/strong enough for it. Heather C’s voice is fairly deep and very strong. Personally I think the actress who plays Heather Duke here would’ve been a better choice. Just my thoughts though, not meant to be rude!

The singing is pretty good, but when they're just normally talking and/or acting it's kinda... bad? The choreography is weak which kinda makes it lack the luster of the original performance (or.. you know... the majority of performances because this is a musical) but-- was this intended to be a performance with the focus ONLY on singing? that would make sense, i guess, but then there'd be way better songs to be chosen rather than this one tbh
