👋 you guys showed up in my wall… Early 40 here too (pinoy couple) After our biggest health scare in 2022. Life becomes more clearer na din. Esp my husband, that work comes second to your health. Life-work balance talaga 💚 my husband came in 1998, and me in 2001.

Hello sa inyong mag anak! Ang gaganda ng mga prutas ninyo jan. Wala akong nakikitang ganyang kalaking mangga dito sa winchester. Pati yung papaya ang ganda at nagbebenta cla ng half lang. Makes sense talaga yung kasunduan nyong mag asawa sa work. Ganyan din ang anak ko. My daughter is an ACM dito sa Kaiser Permanente. Her husband is the one in charge sa mga kids. Hatid sundo sa mga bata at pag asikaso sa mga bata sa pagpasok. Cia rin ang nagtuturo sa mga bata sa homework. Pag walang pasok ang anak ko, nakakapagturo din cia sa mga bata and she always find time na andun cia sa mga activities ng mga bata sa school. Kailangan din kc ng quality time para sa pamilya. Dapat balanse talaga sa lahat ng mga ginagawa. 40 y/o na rin ang anak ko and her husband is 44. Ingat lang lagi sa work Sir Roland and regards kay Imee and kids.. God bless you🙏

Quality of life 💯 double job iba kasi madaming responsibility and madaming bayarin. How about per diem job? Minsan, 1-2x a month lang and bigger per hour. You still have quality of life.

Additional income lang talaga. Their main work carries the benefits. Anyway, I watched your vlog about cholesterol. My husband was given simvastatin 20mg. Nag gym siya. Not too much on diet but he cut on dairy products. He’s out of the maintenance meds. We’re on our 40’s too. Bumaba din sugar niya. You can do it too.

Sir roland ano po ng push sa inu pra po piliin nio area na dialysis nurse po 😊 Kasi d b po un iba area sa nursing halos ang lalaki ng mga rate nila lalo pag meron sila night differential like MS,ICU,ER,OR nurses HD nurse dn po ako iba po un saya saken pag gsto mo tlga un area mo maeenjoy mo po tlga tska iba po un tuwa nun mga patient sa dialysis ksi d b halos routine n nten sila ksma sa treatment tlga nila..

Hi Elisse, nakasubok n din kasi ako sa ibang dept, med surg, tele, nag SNF, sub-acute, home health na din ako, para sakin pinaka less stressful ang dialysis. 2 klase pede mo pag trabahuhan pag sa dialysis ka: sa clinic at ospital. Nag work din ako for 6 yrs sa clinic, mas malaki nag pasahod sa ospital vs sa clinic, advice ko sayo, gain your experience sa clinic tapos subukan mo pumasok sa ospital, pag sa ospital k na as dialysis, mag kaka pareho n rate nyo, magkakatalo na lang sa # of experience or kung may advance education k. Sakin pinaka malaking factor ang stress, I’d rather take a pay cut sa field na masaya ako. Good luck!

Agree. Was in a supervisory position but stepped down. So much stress that it affected my health, both emotionally and mentally. I am so happy right now. Feel so light like a chip was taken off my shoulder. 😅

@@NurseMJ986 ‘Been an RN for 21 years, bedside. I probably could’ve aimed for managerial position but was lucky enough to take care of a patient who was the Director of Home Health. Gave me real advice. It’s a lonely position she says when you are a leader. The expectation is too much. And nobody really recognizes your efforts. Kapag tumatanda ka na kasi, you also want your work to be valued. She said to me, “ When you do bedside, your patients will thank you. They validate your effort for the day. That can lift your spirits. “ Kung manager ka raw, problema lang day in and day out. Not worth it on the long run. Bedside RN maganda rin naman ang kita. Self scheduling pa. I can also limit my responsibilities. Yung eval ko recently sabi ng manager, “ We wish you would take more roles. Head the UPC, orient new grads, etc” I just smiled. “ I can orient and assist new grad/ new RN’s why not.” ( I have a daughter in nursing school so I know it’s my responsibility to give back to the profession 😬) Pero yung mga head a committees na iyan, no way. I am present and will give my best when I am working for 12 hours, pero yun na yun. I do not allow management to get more from me. I have a husband and children to attend to. First a wife and mother. Second a nurse.

Ang sarap po kaya ng clock in and out lang, wala ka nang calls kapag na ka out na.. 😅, lalo na pag may inuuwian kang pamilya, di worth yung konting increase ng sahod sa sakit ng ulo ng mga resposibilities 👍.
