This exercise will help you to improve your knowledge on pentatonic scales, it connects all five shapes that is essential to know for every guitarist. Also good idea is to apply this concept to different patterns i.e. acd-cde-deg-ega...
Thanks for watching!

Can you make one for Major Pentatonic too?
@EdArmGuitar

major and minor pentatonics share the same notes so you just need to transfer the root and its basically the same shape but different name:) Am pentatonic = Cmaj pentatonic Make sense ?

Great video man. Quick question though - I know you are supposed to keep your fingers nice and curved but I always seem to deaden a string. Like when I am on the fat E I notice my a string is muted. Is that ok? I'm not trying to but I am having trouble curling my hand up enough not to.

Hey Joie, not sure what exactly you mean? Do you mute low e with your right hand ? Could you post a quick video ? Would love to help you out

@@EdArmGuitar I mean like I will play notes on one string but notice my finger tip is slightly touching / muting the string below even when I'm on the tips of my fingers. I'm actively trying not to mute anything lol.

@@joie7457 :) well if it's sounds good then you don't need to worry. It's funny when you start playing guitar you try not to mute anything but later on completely opposite you will learn to mute strings :) Sorry I couldn't help you here, it's easier when you actually see it in person.

@@EdArmGuitar I know what you mean. I started practicing scales flat to mute but when I try to play certain songs I mute accidentally like street spirit. So now I'm trying to practice scales both ways. I will try and post a short video when I can.
