Every time I watch one of your pack videos, I come up with new ways to rearrange my EDC pack :) You give me so many great ideas for new little items to throw in there!

It depends on what you want to carry in it, they are both great, but if you want to carry more things I'd recommend the Switchback. Me personally, I prefer the Plan-b in terms of comfort, and the size. The switchback has a lot more room for things with my current setup, so there is a lot of excess that I don't need.

That's awesome! That's why I make these videos, to hopefully help at least 1 person in putting together their pack.

Great kit! Nice set up. Seems like that bag can hold anything.

I wouldn't consider a slingpack for a long hike, it WILL wear out your shoulder over time. I go walking with mine a lot, and I carry about 8 to 9 pounds worth of gear (maybe 11 with my pistol in it) and walking for about 3 miles isn't really PAINFUL, but it gets uncomfortable after awhile. That is just the nature of the beast. Slingpacks are mostly for every day carry, and meant to be carried somewhat lightly, not while walking or hiking several miles. Hope this helped!

That thick bandanna and a stick would make a great tourniquet. The quick clot would work fine for moderate moderate/severe bleeding. Tourniquet for uncontrollable bleeding. Nice set up Sherman.

nice dude. i really enjoy these type of vids because it helps me with ideas as to what i might be missing in my own pack. my falco 2 is still not quite where i want it, but when it's done i'll have to do a similar vid.

Yeah, that bugs me about it too! I carry both, I like to spray out the wound with the Neosporin and wipe the wound clean, with some wounds anyway. In my first-aid kit I have a couple of single use Neosporin packets

Thanks for giving me a straight foward answer. I'm ordering the second front simply because i'll end up using it for school nd hiking

Not at all, I still use a ton of my Maxped gear, it's just that I prefer the features and feel of Hazard 4's sling packs. I'm getting a new backpack for review within the next week from a new company (New to me anyways) And I might be replacing this with that pack.

When I leave the house I carry my 32oz aluminum Thermus, so I'll have that when I'm out. I have a Silva like compass in my camping bag, and a military compass in my bugout bag, I need to get around to getting a third compass for this pack. Good point on the heavy mil bags, at the point I put the small garbage bag in my pack we didn't have any of those, we do now so I'll be replacing it. I have some water purification tablets in that GP pouch I showed if I'm not mistaken

Thank you :) I got it at my local survival store Truprep, they have a lot of first aid gear. You might be able to find one on their website

Very nice EDC bag set up! I have one sling bag from Maxped and I really like it. I intended to buy this one as well for my collection. May I ask if your trauma kit is 4x6 or 5x8 in size? Thanks!

I’m having a hard time deciding on purchasing the switchback or the second front… Just had a few questions does the switchback get very uncomfortable on long trips.. How much weight would you consider on long hikes for this bag? I’ve never owned a sling bag and want to make the right choice seeing how this bag isn’t cheap.. The only thing that I’m not liking about the second front is the lap belt

just a bit of advice quick clot when applied to a wound it Burns it's like putting deep heat on a cut it really Burns
@sherman6148 жыл бұрын
+jordan greenwood The older stuff, yes. The new Quik Clot is advertised that it doesn't heat up
@xXzippyiXx8 жыл бұрын
+sherman614 oh okay well I must order some new ones thanks who knew I would get advice lol
@sherman6148 жыл бұрын
jordan greenwood That's what they advertise anyway, not saying it doesn't still burn, thankfully I've never had to use mine. I've just heard from some buddies of mine that were medics that the ones you buy now are not like the first gen ones, and supposedly they don't burn anymore. The first gen ones could actually cause burns inside the wound cavity

So what is the difference between EDC bags and Bug out Bags.....it looks like you are trying to combine both into one bag? Or is this strictly an EDC bag?
@sherman61410 жыл бұрын
Good question. I carry this pack every day, when I leave the house, it comes with me. It's my EDC bag, yet it has items in it that if I was out and about and HAD to bug out for at least a little bit, I could. It's more or less setup as an EDC/get home bag, because I don't have enough in it to bugout for long, I don't have spare clothing or anything to make a shelter. However, I have enough items, tools, ect, to help if I needed to leave my car, or work place and walk home if I had to.
@coalgravel10 жыл бұрын
sherman614 So a bug out bag is, in short, an edc with more stuff to survive for a longer period of time, like shelter stuff, more food and spare clothes?

Pretty comfortable how I have it setup, any more might be too much since it doesn't have a frame sheet.
