Thank you for the video. I couldn't help but notice that Amazon have at least 3 brands that carry the exact same bag. Same specs (other than YKK zippers). The cheapest I found one is $16. Now, if you have to have the "Maxpedition" name stitched on the bag then I guess that justify paying $60+ bucks for it. Just saying...

This was my first EDC knife and I still love it, I moved on to the skyline because the spring bar broke but as soon as I get around to bugging Kershaw, it’ll probably be in my pocket a little heavy, but nice design..

So do you push the abrasive against the cutting edge? Like you do with a conventional stone and knife Or push the rod away from the cutting edge? Like you do when stropping with leather?

Very nice video, enjoyed the information, Thanks. I own a ZT0560CF and love it. I just have one question, " If they are built like a tank, why do they wrap it so much in bubble wrap during shipment? Don't figure.

Thank you! I had a bunch of spent casing I took from the range. I took my Dremel with a cutoff wheel and I cut the rim off of the casing, took the primer out and I filled the hole with epoxy. I let it cure completely and then drilled a hole through it for the screw. I used the screw that came from the original lock bar stabilizer.

I do not, and I love ESEE as well as TOPS, but I do much prefer the ESEE Izula over this knife. Roughly the same size, but a third of the weight, and it's thinner blade makes it cut easier. Unless you just REALLY love the look of this knife, I'd buy an ESEE Izula or even the ESEE 3 I believe is what it's called, either one I think is better all around than this knife.

Thank you! And yeah lol, it's not at all my prefered method of closing a pocket or flap on these types of things, especially when the Velco on this particular pouch is like SUPER Velcro lol. I didn't learn this trick until way after making this video, but I had started taking male end Velcro straps that are just pieces of smooth nylon with Velcro on one end, and put them on 75% of thr loop field on pouches like these, so only about 25% of the Velco would stick. It made it MUCH easier AND less annoyingly loud to open lol.

So, Looking closely at the (stopped) video, you can see the weaknesses in this (otf) knife design.. Stabbing: When the tip of the deployed knife hits a target (say a piece of wood, or a wall), the force applied in Stabbing motion is directly applied BACKWARDS against that tiny pin (door you said) which is all that prevents the blade from moving backwards. A HUGE weakness. Slashing: Understanding the physics behind a "lever", sideways force applied against the side of the blade (tip?) Is multiplied by the length of the lever (blade) against the last 3/8" of the case of the knife which is all holding in the blade. A great weakness. So.. Now we know, In actual combat, OTF knives are INFERIOR to use where extreme force will be administered. vs. Any fixed blade especially full tang knife which has none of these design issues. FYI Basically, OTF knifes are (expensive) adult cutting toys. Not to be confused with actual survival or combat knives.

This is not US made. Grey Ghost Gear is Tactical Tailors non-Berry compliant division. They use US design and materials but overseas labor. These are made in Nicaragua, i believe. It is similar to what LBX is to LBT.

Good review. It’s refreshing that you basically confined your review to what the bag offers in regards to pockets, zippers, straps and carrying possibilities . Far too many reviewers (of bags) morph needlessly into an in-depth and tiresome parade of every possible trinket that has managed to burden their credit card. Whereas you focused on the bag. Thank you for sparing your viewers the usual blah, blah, blah. It’s apparent that you are aware that in every big review, there is small succinct review trying to get out. Good onya!
