Great product from a great company. They have a torch for every situation and I've seen some reviewed by other KZbinrs and the try to kill the torch. Ive seen one put in the freezer for 12 hours then cooked in an oven for half an hour, only to be taken out of the oven and thrown from an upstairs window onto a patio multiple times. It survived the lot! I can't remember what Olight model it was as not all their models are designed for that amount of abuse but bloody hell, great addition to an EDC.

Basically it is a modified S1 baton II with a 90° head, and snap-on velcro base to be used with a headband or vest with velcro patches...and features an SOS flash setting.

Hi Andy The velcro patch attachment looks handy but doesn't the velcro hooks that hang over the strap scratch you forehead.

Nice, They're always quality, the body dimensions combined with the clip /Velcro patch mount make this an ideal unit for mounting on law enforcement molle- looped vests as well😉👍

5:12 it looks terrible design, the Velcro hooks will irritate you. It’s a regression from the H1R design 6:15. The H1R can be rotated more than 180’ unlike this at only 60’, shown and 4:40. And also this new design Mount sticks a lot further forward, the older H1R sat closer to your head, which would be more comfortable IMO.

You can buy a new charge lead but spare batteries are a pain... Cr123 are cheap but olight make theirs proprietary so you have to buy theirs and they make it so they won't work in any other olight so you need to buy sets for each one even though they're a version of cr123 they use different ends and different voltage for each torch just to keep you buying more and more . Rip off

I used to love olight Andy but they really p*** me off .. turns out every new light they bring out they use a new proprietary battery i.e you can't use the batteries through all there torches. So if you buy one you need a few spare batteries but those spares won't work in all the others even though there cr123. I have the h1r have you tried your h1r battery in this ? Both cr123 but I doubt it will work .. won't charge ect. Worse than apple in that sense .. built-in obsolescence. Soon they won't sell batteries for the h1r . You shouldn't put your good name to them . You could still use an old mag light from the 90s with AAs but try getting olight proprietary batteries in a few years... Sorry you need to buy the latest olight ... Not good practice at all.

The custom 16340s used in the Perun and S1R Baton are high discharge 10C batteries, which is why they can hit 1000 lumens. No CR123 or standard 16340 can manage that. You *can* use unprotected CR123s or 16340s, but only the ones under 34.3mm long.
