Tool rolls are frickin' AWESOME, I've been using a $7 AliExpress one for a few years now and the amount of space they save is crazy, also first order retrievability for the Win 🏆 👍

Just got myself an 18 pocket tool / knife organizer from Carhartt. First time I beat you to it, ha ha. Keep up the good work, but not too much work ( you’re looking a bit tired ).

Organisation is the cornerstone of Preparedness. Each kit is like a puzzle, except that once a year you have to go back and check to see if you need to change that puzzle a bit. Are your batteries fresh, do you have the correct batteries for what's in the kit? Have you ever used this tool, and do you need it or spend that space/ weight differently. This tool roll is very interesting and I'll check out this company.

I prefer tool roll edc kits and have found them easier to pack, banded to my belt in the small of my back in scout carry when I’m in the field, leaving more tactical needs to chest and side carry as needed. . .even when hunting.

I'm going to have to take a hard look at this. I do like waxed canvas as a material. Thanks! I'm not opposed to a tool roll, dependent on size and features.

I have the roaring fire bon fire modular tool roll and I have never had any problems with it and it looks great. Not they have the pack mule mini which takes it to the next level.

I have to say i am interested. I love the old school feel and look of waxed canvas. As for the work sharp As an ultr small pocket tool i wish it had leather on one side a ceramic on the other. For touching up on the go. For more serious work i love the work shop field sharpener its just about perfect. Half the time when i am home i just use that wven though i have acces to my 3 sided leather strop bat and my giant material Aide sized cerimic rod and sets of stones.

I'd like to find something similar that is capable of holding 8 to 12 fixed blade knives of varying sizes including sheaths.

G'day Aaron, I do think a tool "roll" makes perfect sense in terms of laying out the contents. However I cant think of an application for it. Vehicle .... I'm going with a proper tool box, and a bit over kill for pack carry, IMO especially if the pack already has good organisation. ..... I'm think'n maybe first aid kit, ..... portable, quick deployment and again, everything laid out. Cheers Duke. P.S. Re; scissors ... if I really need 'em over a blade, there's a proper pair in my FAK. Also, for a fish'n line snipper; ..... I use a fingernail clipper on a lanyard, its like its designed specifically for the application ; )

This thing is perfect! Love it Also, Knipex is actually pronounced like it looks. It’s a hard K. Like K-ni-pex. Doesn’t feel right but that’s how the employees of the company say it. They actually have a video about it on their channel 😂 The cobras are the best, it’s like having an entire wrench set and pliers in one tool.

Have you checked out Roaring Fire tool rolls? Seem pretty good, I love their sling bag and the prices are good .
@jeffp3415Ай бұрын
This looks really good, but a quick review of what's out there shows multiple waxed canvas tool roll options for about half the price (and it's not as if this one is made in the U.S.) This is definitely the coolest looking tool roll out there.
@gideonstacticalАй бұрын
Yeah, most of the rest of those tool rolls are much larger and heavier, and really designed for a ton of heavy duty tools. This is a lot more compact and lighter with a few more features better for Edc.

Im getting the pouch and the roll. I really want their journal pouch but i use vertical flipping write in the rains. Was that a hill people gear chest rig?

I like a tool roll like that to throw in a backpack just to keep things better organized. Just as an aside, that worksharp is for pocket carry. That organizer had plenty of space for a guided field sharpener, which seems more useful/practical for that setup. Ymmv.

I prefer zippered pouches with more simple organization. I haven't really liked Vanqest and Maxpedition pouches. They have too many centered elastic loops which limits the form factor to slimmer items for those slots. Honestly I like a cheap toiletry or FAK type pouch with 2-4 large zippered or elastic sleeves.

Can’t watch video with that much motion. Please limit the motion,zooming in and out constantly is such a distraction!
