I too went down the Stanley lunch box coffee kit rabbit hole on YT, and came out with one of my all time favorite camping kits. I made a mini version with the 5.5qt lunch box. Use an Aeropress Go, the same titanium pot to heat water, which stores a 100g isobutane canister perfectly, paired with a Snow Peak GigaPower stove. I even made a diy table! I bring mine camping all the time, to hotels/airbnbs, road trips. Can always have a good cup of coffee or tea wherever you go.

Thanks for sharing! We just went through a bomb cyclone and power outage and I used my AOTU backpacking stove for the first time to heat water for Cup Noodle, cocoa and instant coffee. I found it was really fun and easy to use (it has a piezo igniter), and while it's not backpacking season it makes more sense to use it in a portable lunchbox to keep things together but also for the added stability. I already purchased the Stanley Lunch Box so I'm going to build it out with the Ikea cutting board that fits, plus the AOTU mini stove and isobutane canister, and then see if I can also fit my Toaks pot and a camp mug. I also have the Stanley bottle that fits inside so I will add it if it fits with everything else but I'll prioritize the cooking pot and may just keep the water bottle external. I am into efficiency so I'd rather just bring instant packets of coffee and cocoa, and use the rest of the room for cooking gear so I can make a whole breakfast like eggs and toast. Daiso Japan also has those little sardine can aluminum camping pans so I might pick up one of those to put in here for a frying pan. REI has a mini salt and pepper shaker that should also fit into the kit.

Hello there I made a Stanley coffee lunch box and I got the Pupacamp wooden table and dripper accessories from Korea. My stove is Soto windmaster from Japan and have a 1zpresso J max coffee grinder from Thailand and use a V60 coffee dripper made by Hario from Japan and had a bunch of various nesting tins from my camping equipment. I live by Branson Missouri in the Ozark Mountains and can pretty much just go outside of my house and sit by the trees and have a beautiful cup of coffee. I do go Hammock Camping in the woods but won't be able to take my coffee kit because I have to hike in but that's all right I still have coffee in a kind of Bushcraft way. I watched all kinds of the KZbin videos about the Stanley lunch box and just absolutely fell in love. I am a retired welder from Caterpillar Incorporated and made Road building equipment and Challenger tractors but used a plastic six-pack cooler but had a Stanley thermos.

Boy I miss our lunch boxes as a kid. That little thermos and cup on top it was so fun. You could still get metal ones just like in these pictures but I think at that time metal was a throwback novelty more than anything, so we also had plastic ones.

Dad was a machinist at the Rough and Ready Island Navy base in Stockton. He had one of those round top lunch boxes. He would keep so much paper work and stuff I would tease him it was a work purse. When I started working at a locked institution I carried a small lunch cooler, I then wondered how dad had enough room for food in that little box😂

Japanese tea ceremony practitioners have a portable tea woven basket with a small sized tea bowl,mini matcha tea caddy that nests in the bowl, bamboo whisk holder, mini whisk, foldable tea scoop and decorative silk coaster. You can do outdoor picnic style tea ceremony under fall maple leaves or spring cherry blossoms! I was lucky to buy one vintage set and one new set when I lived in Japan. I like your setup. I also watch the Thai guys who have their lunchbox coffee sets! I must make one too! ❤

Nice so see more people are doing this now, can’t wait to see some new great ideas.

Love the idea but $55 for the lunch box that holds just enough for perhaps 2 cups of coffee is a bit much for me, yes I’m cheap and drink lots of coffee lol. I have a collapsable camping bag that’s still small but bigger, has a metal frame to hold it up, a light weight metal top too, is like a mini chuck box that fits more without being huge or bulky and heavy folding flat for storage. That being said you’re video is very detailed and good thanks for all the info.👍🏻

There's a reason that they were called lunch "pails".
@yinzology7 ай бұрын
Pails: "cylindrical bucket," mid-14c., paile, probably from Old French paele, paelle "cooking or frying pan, warming pan;" also a liquid measure, from Latin patella "small pan, little dish, platter," diminutive of patina "broad shallow pan, stew-pan" (see pan (n.)). www.etymonline.com/word/pail

What kind of insulation does it offer as far as keeping stuff cold? How many years of carrying it for lunch will it last?

In the bottom, we're using three 10 oz thermoses and 2 sandwich boxes for lunch and snacks.
