The lifetime socks are awesome! I bought the three different kinds 4 years ago. And bass pro shop has replaced them 3 times already because I had holes in bottoms. This is from wear and tear of wearing them everyday as a UPS driver. They are great socks.

You mentioned the Streamlights. I EDC a Streamlight 1L-1AA and it’s amazing. It’s Dual Fuel, meaning it runs on 1 CR123/1 AA battery. Excellent light, plenty of lumens, and the battery life is surprisingly good for such a little light. Definitely reccomended.

I will say this about streamlight I personally own about 5 of their flashlights with one which was the ProTac HL3 (which by the way isn't rechargeable and has 1,100 lumens on high and will last 1.5 hours) and the programmable feature didn't work but was replaced free. So 4/5 isn't bad. I used them for about 10 years and used them in the Marines. A really good flashlight but are pricey. I have the smaller one (forget the name) you showed with the charger mounted on my truck so it's always charged for roadside emergencies. Now I don't know if olight has a lifetime warranty but if they do I would probably recommend them as they are cheaper. The only thing I like about Thrunite is they have the Firefly feature which I like. Knifes I still with my government issues Ka-Bar and love it. I really do enjoy your channel and keep it up! Steel (my old callsign) over and out

A good, compact DIY rod is about 6 inches of PVC with a cap at either end. Hooks and lures go inside, with the line wound around it. You can even customize it to your hand, both length and diameter.

@@DropForgedSurvival i bought one a few years back for around $50 and it lasted for about a year before the tip "first" section came out. I would go with one pf the rods that break down into multiple sections. I have a ST. Croix that breaks down into 4 sections and packs easily. It is good for most fresh water fishing

First great video!! Second I am VERY jealous as my local Bass Pro Shop is HALF the size of yours!! Third I have several Streamlight flashlights. As a now retired Police Officer I found that they are a very tough and durable flashlight. I carried 2 different models for over 20 years and never failed me. I worked midnight's for 12 years. The only thing I ever had to replace was an LED bulb! I agree that they are VERY EXPENSIVE but also very reliable! I live in the upper midwest so my flashlights endured extreme heat and cold and dropped in water many times. I hope this was helpful to you and others looking at Streamlight.

I love streamlight. I swear by them for my work lights. I have a stinger, a strion and an SL. I have had the SL and strion for about 6 years. They have held up to inclement weather, impacts you name it. They hold a charge decently well and are plenty bright. The only draw back is the LED lights just die when the battery goes. No warning like dimming or fading, just cut to black.

Here’s a reader’s digest version on Streamlight. Pros: Reliable, Heavy Duty and Well Made, No questions asked warranty, awesome recharging cradles (for the bigger lights). Cons: Lumens per dollar suck, for the most part older technology. So many more choices now available (just in the past year or so). I still own streamlights, especially in my jeep (love their charging cradles). But my go to lights are now made by Olight. Unbelievable brightness, lots of options (5000k stark white, or CRI (tru-color) LED’s. Chargers, no chargers, “throwers” or wide flood. You name it, they got it! Hope this helps.

I grew up in Big Spring TX, by Midland/Odessa. So I know what the snake stick is. I was helping my Grandmother fix a fence next to our hog feeder, and a rattler came out from under it. I jumped up on a 55 gallon barrel and told Memaw to get it. Luckily she had a hoe in one hand and chopped the head off, before it could get her or myself. That was 40 years ago and I can still remember the snakes eyes and color.

I picked up a few streamlights while still on active duty. They are awesome. Had surefires and others before, but streamlight puts them to shame. They're not cheap, but after what I've put mine through...they are worth it. The outdoor edge came in a battle box a while back. gooIt's good, but the Smith's pocket pal is better.

@@DropForgedSurvival I have 2 rechargeables and 1 battery operated. 2 123 batteries. Love them. And the smaller rechargeable has a few battle scars from rough handling...and then the inevitable "well it handled that, let's do this to it and see if it breaks."

FWIW, I used to carry the Streamlight Microstream as my EDC. One AAA Battery, the Clip allows you to put in your Shirt Pocket or on your Ball Cap, and it's pretty tough. But since Wowtac and Zanfire and Thrunite hit the scene, well, 28 Lumens seems to be a little weak in 2018. But it's in my Trauma Kit, because who said Accidents only occur in Daylight? But it's kinda like Maglite. They need to do a Product Improvement on the Electronics to compete. Hope this helps.
