1:23 The Camilus knife is actually not bad, the blade is thin but its really sharp right out of the package. I bought it one day when i forgot to bring my knives to the hunting ranch. It carved three bucks a doe and a pig easily one weekend.

I love the idea about the first aid cream and cotton balls for fire starter! Genius way to multi purpose. Also, I love those hammocks, I took two of them to Guatemala for my wife and I and they work great. We actually both got in one together to test it out and they worked great.

Dry Makeup pads would work for the first aid and fire starting implement. The ointment can be smeared on and then they can be stacked the like a sandwich, perhaps even vacuum seal them for a even smaller package.

I have those cam jams in my work van. They work surprisingly good, hold tight and will only come loose if the cord is cock-eyed. Not a half bad little buy.

I own 2 of them flashlights(1 in each vehicle), love them. The tent stakes are good too. That first aid kit is garbage, we've tried 2 of them. J&J bandages are the best, I prefer the fabric ones even in wet conditions. I would never recommend to get cheap when it comes to "first aid."

The multitool, the knife and the cookware are what I'd like to see tested. The multitool in particular, the good ones are so expensive, especially for a tool I don't use much but want to have around.

Nah b that camillus knife isn’t crap. I’ve had one for two years and have beat on like I mean I’ve split so much wood with it make feather sticks and all around beat on it. For $10 and at Walmart it is pretty decent. I know you’ll never see this but it really isn’t bad

DropForgedSurvival well that is your opinion too because you can afford $400 knives. I however am not at the point where I can do that. I got it for $10 and it was the best $10 I’ve spent. Please before you go calling products shit test them out a little. Yes the tip is terrible but it was $10 you have to think of the price.

The equip hammocks are excellent if you get them on sale. Got one for $10 before Christmas. The “straps” are just rope and the carabiners are super cheap but are easily upgraded. The fabric is marginally heavier than an eno but has held up after some pretty heavy use.

use ABD pads instead of women's pads. ABD are cheaper and actually meant for heavy wound based bleeding. Also work great for abdominal injuries.

I have the Walmart Equip hammock and for the price you can't go wrong. I'm 230 and use it all year round camping. Upgrade the ropes to whoopie slings and get some good D-rings.

I've got both the single and double of those hammocks and they definitely are worth it and they're slightly thicker than most "parachute" style hammocks so they are great for cooler weather

Another good thing about pantyhose is you can use it for fishing to help hold softer baits like liver and if you are in a place with freshwater eels you can use pantyhose instead of hooks

I don't know about a previous video... but regarding the plastic silverware from the sporting goods section... I did a detailed comparison between the gsi utensils and the Walmart ones. Though they are identical in outward appearance the gsi ones are made of some kind of #6 'other resin' which is typically polycarbonate. The wal mart ones are 'ps' polystyrene.

I have the cook kit. It's good, but tends to be sort of a space-eater even if you pack things inside it. I'm going to do what a lot of hikers have done, which is switch to the Stanley cook kit plus that $4.97 aluminum cup you grabbed, which that Stanley kit ($14.97 at Walmart) fits inside. Also, the Stanley kit has measurements marked on the pot. The Ozark Trail kit does not.

the ozark trail multitool, the 17 in 1 one, its good as a temp one if you're waiting for a good multitool, but anything further than lets say 3 months of average use to heavy use, will destroy it, plus the coating is crap

Hey! That call of duty knife is actually really good. I got it for Christmas and it's rasor sharp surprisingly, only downside is that the pocket clip it really tight against the knife. But I carry that knife on me everyday and it's a really reliable knife.
