I have to say Kore Recon sunglasses are awesome. Comfortable and well built, very sturdy. Love the magnetic closure and visor storage with the strap. Tons of glare right now with all of the snow, and these cut it down to nothing. Also love the ballistic rating on the lenses for range days.

I EDC many similar items; however, I wear sports shorts or long pants almost every day now that I've retired (donated all of my suits and dress clothes to Goodwill). If I'm just going to the store for groceries I carry my wallet and cell phone only; sunglasses and baseball cap as well. On any trips out of town, I'll organize things into possibles pouches and pack them into a 5.11 or Savotta Jaakari pack plus grab my survival chest pack. My mother and father used to say better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I am also a watch collector and love that Casio Mudmaster G shock you have. My collection is just short of 40 and they're all 47mm to 54mm beefy watches as I have large nine inch wrists. The Mudmaster will be my next watch and I'm drawn to the 55mm version. I tried wearing the silicone bands but seem to be allergic to them (also bought the 4pk). I carry the Victorinox Rangergrip 178 in my range bag and it has a serrated blade; ambivalent about the serrations (cut thick rope very easily and that's a plus). I have several pocket knives but my favorite is the CRKT Squid, cheap but lightweight and effective.

I like the idea of wrapping a thin wick jute cord around the bic lighter, reduces weight and you have everything there to help lite tinder or other such. All in all the idea of quickly lighting a wick to reduce bic fuel is a forward thinking conservation idea when resources are limited. Also like the choices of neck (concealed carry) knives in this video. The notebook is a great idea. Often, hikers, backpackers, bug out people think of multiple layers of whatever but don't consider multiple layers of defense. Good thinking.

you have some cool kit there and its good to see someone that changes kit out, too many think they have to have this knife that watch and those fire lighters when its good to change gear out and see what works best for the individual also for different scenarios. cheers man!

Holy Moly, very nice and detailed EDC compared to mine. Good job! I carry a fully sharpened toothpick for self defense, my bike lock key because i have no car. Don't need a watch because the voices in my head tell me exactly where to go and what to do. The sunglasses and light are great but i don't need them as of late because since Blade retired i try not to venture outside after dark. The phone is a great comm tool, but i have no friends to call except my roommate mom. I would not carry the mints because i just squirt hand sanitizer into my mouth. But seriously.....love the channel (just found it). Keep up the good work!

If u do go with the Toyota, I definitely recommend the Tundra. We have one, full cab, upholstered bed cover with liner, backup assist, free 1st year series/Xm radio. We love it. Nice console, comfy seats. It’s a little bigger than the Tacoma too. His Cousin has one. Ours is better, 😂 I just think it’s a better value and u can never go wrong with any Toyota regardless.

I forgot to mention that communication can also be important: Some will opt for a small GPS device that these days will interface with phone to send messages (needs an Irridium Satellite account but these can be had on a month to month basis) to loved ones if you're out of the house. It can also give them an update as to your location. But, they're in the $300. and some range. Less expensive would be something like a Baofeng radio. However, I would recommend getting a ham radio license. It's easy to study for (online websites help you to learn details to pass the test). When I went to take my test there where kids there taking the test (barely teens) so the whole family can easily study to take the test. You can get a Baofeng radio for $30-35. online.
