I believe all we need is to have a valid ID ,no criminal record and no psychological issues to be able to buy atleast a handgun

Hi I handed in my motivation at my local police station, and I read somewhere that I'm supposed to have 2 copies of my ID, but I only have 1 copy in my motivation. Will this be an issue ?

My process took 2 years in total but I did apply for 4 firearms at the same time and it was as Covid started so it was not under normal situation. Best advice I can give is the sooner you start the process the sooner it will happen. Great info provided will point all my friends to your video. And thank you GunlicenceZA for there much needed assistance as SAPS is not the easiest to deal with.
