Hi Edd, great review as ever. My observations on these as followed 1. First few runs, I did suffer with terrible blisters on the heels. First time I have ever encountered this and I have every Adidas model from last 10 years. 2. After changing laces, this has been solved. 3. I loved the Adios Pro 1, and was disappointed with stability in adios 2, but acknowledge was still a fast shoe. 4. Now solved the blister issues, I do prefer the 3’s. 5. But again agree with you, not a huge difference in ride compared to the Takumi Sen.

Thanks, Ed! Luv your reviews and thoughts. Based on what I've been able to gather, it seems I'll have to splurge on the Prime X Strung, the Takumi Sen 8, and the Adios Pro 3 to add to my collection and rotation. Not that I really *NEED* any of these but oh do I *WANT*!! Haha. As I mentioned before, running shoes have become my latest gear addiction after many years chasing boutique electric guitars/amps and audiophile stuff, and as I'm sure you can agree, running shoes provide far greater value! :) I put in 70~80 miles per week for the sheer joy of running and I think that justifies to spend on "overpriced" running shoes as long as they are really good! Based on your comments, these Adidas shoes seem geared towards the "serious" runner as certain electric guitars and amps are geared towards the "serious" player. You need to understand what you are *getting*, if you get my drift. The joy of running is as great as playing music on an electric guitar or whatever musical instrument or enjoying great music through ridiculously expensive hi-fi equipment. Can't wait to get back home from this long trip to Asia and start running in these Adidas shoes, amongst others! Haha
@EDDBUD2 жыл бұрын
Yes some guitars are darn right hard to master yet once you do they sing. Gibson stuff needs a little playing to get the best from it so I suppose they fit in there perhaps? If you enjoy the shoes and get the miles in I see no the value level increasing.
@alexkhan20002 жыл бұрын
@@EDDBUD Yes, some guitars require more effort to wring the tones you want out of them but, once you do, they do sing and reward you. The same thing with certain tube amps - like early-70's Marshalls. Yes, as long as I can enjoy the shoes, then the value will increase with each mile. I have to admit there have been some shoes I bombed out on - like some from a certain Swiss brand. After that unpleasant experience, I investigate much more thoroughly and weigh the pros and cons carefully before committing to buy a shoe. After doing that, I've been happy with all of my purchases. BTW, your speaking style and mannerism reminds me of your fellow Brit and amazing guitar player named Guthrie Govan.😃

The primex is all it’s own. The Adios pro 3 is quite a different beast from the pro 2.

Yeah still bit on the fence with the Adios Pro 3. I did a session the other day half in them and half in the Endorphin Pro 3 and although I preferred the softer ride in the Endorphin one the results were pretty similar. I think for me the Adios isn’t that happy going slower but whenever I have tried in them the results been better than I might have imagined. Although the Adios Pro 2 was only offered up to a UK 12.5 whereas got my TTS UK 13.5 in the 3, I kind of preferred the ride in the 2. Forgot about the lower drop could be a factor. I also tried the UK 13.5 in the Prime X today. Not the Sprung one as they don’t do the 13.5. Actually found it quite hard work partly as feel have to be more careful on each stride because they are so much more wobbly than anything else I have. Maybe need to get used to that type of shoe as 12 miles out of the box on a hilly circuit maybe was a bit far for a first run. Protects the legs well - well assuming don’t twist your ankle which always feel is a bit of a risk in the Adios Pro 2 or 3 as I do find both of them a bit wobbly at times too.

Hey Edd. Your insights and experience with the Pro 3 are spot on. 💯😎 A friend of mine mentioned the same feelings about v3 vs v2.
