As I went down a half size in the Nike invincible run fly knit 3 I usually take a 10.5 in U.S.size I went down to a 10 still had where they sued that neoprene together in the back cut into my Achilles tendon I had to glue gauze in there and some cloth over it

You're really missing out. Puma grip is legendary, and they are incredibly long lasting. I've been enjoying the MagMax a lot recently, and I've done many miles in the Deviate Nitro 2. My dad has done close to 600km in the Deviate Nitro Elite, which is cracking for a race day shoe.

Deviate Nitro 2s are very solid all rounders. I ran 1,200 kms in my first pair and the second pair is still going strong at 700 kms

Love the Takumi, but have a snapped anterior ligament in right and left knee (they don’t fix that when you get old:p) so need some cushion these days, but still love the Takumi!

@ Hi Edd, they have moved away style wise from the purer road shoe to a bit more of a lifestyle look. However, the float-ride foam is in the Zig line of shoes and what I have read and a friend reported to me indicated that while full price was too much for the float zig X1, 50% off made it compelling. There’s some tasty reductions on other shoes in the running line on the website.

Two years ago Nike reduced the Vaporfly 2 to £101 on Black Friday in the late afternoon/early evening. My advice would be to keep checking the sales section for the next couple of days. If I can flog some sun tan lotion in the next couple of days I might get a pair 🏖

@EDDBUD I sold my pair to a mate on 70 miles. We ran a marathon, granted the weather wasn't the best, but it literally tore the outsole off. And the exact same thing happened to his 2nd pair before 100 miles. Heard many stories of the same thing. There's probably many variables why, but I haven't had that in any other race shoe. I won't be making that risk with them when I have a guarantee with other race shoes
