This is a song originally performed by Sara Mclachlan. Released in 1998 it was played frequently around the time of Princess Dianas death. that's probably when you first heard it. Sohyang covered it beautifully as we all know she can.

This is an alternative soft rock song by Sarah Mclachlan that may have certainly been countrified by others through the years. I think this version is so immaculate it is stunning. But that seems to be what So Hyang does time and again. I can not remember a more pure and versatile voice. Thanks for the great reaction!

Quite simply Sohyang is the most magical singer I have ever heard. Something about that matchless voice, in whatever style and genre she chooses, is beyond compare except to rank those behind her. She has IT in spades! She just seemed to open her mouth and this beautiful, soothing, comforting song emerged as if without effort. Though those who are expert vocal coaches and teachers will tell you singing softly is among the most demanding of all styles to perform. Nothing seems beyond this woman. 🤷‍♂💖 Can you imagine being on vacation in Spain, strolling along and seeing the sights, when you come across the best soprano on earth just sitting there and indeed singing like an angel? It would feel like you had entered another dimension without realizing it. Time would stand still and you would wonder what happened after the song ended. Sohyang often takes me to that musical place where time and space warp and I am in musical heaven. Sigh ... 👀👌😉💖💖💖💖💖

Hey Todd. Yes, well that scenario of coming onto the voice of an Angel and being frozen in time happens to me whenever Sohyang comes onto my screen. After six years, and hearing every one of her songs at least once, it still happens. How fortunate are we to have found her. If you haven't seen "Surrender" do a Search. in it, she is the personification the word 'exquisite'. Take care.

@@daveg.6820 Hi Dave, the older I get the more grateful I am for the "exquisitely" beautiful things in life that are free. What a creation! Just taking the time to ponder how truly off the scale great Sohyang is, and that God gave her to us for free, well, sometimes these kind of things boggle my mind and make time stand still. Yes, I've heard "Surrender" though only once so I have to go back to it. This new album of Sohyang's "Diva" may become an international best seller. It sure has some incredible music! Glad to see you are doing well! 💖💖💖

Look for the episodes of "Begin Again Korea ". The "Begin Again " series occurred in the previous 2 years without Sohyang. Also marvelous singers. The violinist for Sohyang is Henry Lau, who contributed to all of the "Begin Again" series. The woman wiping her eyes is the dynamic Hwasa, a member of the wonderful 4 woman vocal group MamaMoo.

She got up from her seat, grabbed her music bundle, and asked politely someone in the audience to help her out. Then she just started singing. I mean, if you practice a song a lot, you should know the words, right? It seemed so easy for her. Now, singers can just throw together a song only with a little breathiness, a natural tone, some shallow falsetto and essential emotions. For me, she basically seemed to show us how little effort it takes. It's a shame that we don't need big divas like her anymore. she sang at least 20 songs in Mallorca and Munich over 2 weeks, and there are still nine more episodes out of 12 to air.

I thought that was so like So Hyang. She wants to include every human in music. No pretension, no stand-off-ish-ness. You could tell on the longer video that the young woman helping to hold the music was taken back by it at first but afterwards had a huge grin. Can you imagine holding the sheet music for So Hyang? LOL! That woman will have a story to tell for the ages!
