No. Conor's performance in the opening round of both fights with Diaz was very one sided. The difficulty Conor faces against Nate Diaz is one of fatigue, exacerbated by the reach/height difference. McGregor is technically superior to Nate Diaz in almost every way. The key advantage of Nate Diaz is his size, his cardio and his iron chin.

He says guys look like champions in training then when they go out in front of the crowd when the lights are on, they choke. Eddie's game plan was to double up the right hand. Mark Henry told him to keep it up in between rounds hoping he would catch Conor somehow. They were expecting Conor to slip the first one only to be hit by the second one by surprise. He got countered for it every time. The first knockdown was hilarious because Eddie tried to double it up but Conor countered with a double left and the second one hit Eddie before Eddie's right did. Conor was absolutely in the zone and nothing was going to stop him in this fight.
