No. Conor's performance in the opening round of both fights with Diaz was very one sided. The difficulty Conor faces against Nate Diaz is one of fatigue, exacerbated by the reach/height difference. McGregor is technically superior to Nate Diaz in almost every way. The key advantage of Nate Diaz is his size, his cardio and his iron chin.

@OGinferno93
@OGinferno93 7 жыл бұрын
Raul Ramirez if you think dominick "the ballerina" Cruz can take Conors left you're delusional. Cruz has never fought anyone with power like conor. Cruz is a point fighter that goes for takedowns to score points. if Eddie can't take him down Cruz definitely can't
@andyfoster8011
@andyfoster8011 7 жыл бұрын
Is Cruz gonna jump up two weight classes to fight Conor because Conor isn't going back to 145? and Cruz has a lot of opponents in 135 like TJ dillashaw really deserves a rematch, there's a lot of 145er's as well that should get a shot in that division before someone from another division just jumps in.
@foxtrotwhiskeymike
@foxtrotwhiskeymike 7 жыл бұрын
lol Cruz doesn't stand a chance, at 145 or 155 he'll be considerably slower and will be a lot easier to hit, and I'm pretty sure he has never fought a striker like McGregor with a 74 inch reach, he won't be able to get in and out of range to hit then evade McGregor as easily, he would get destroyed don't be delusional.

Eddie will have a lot more fans now through this experience but all you can say about Conor is that he is the man, the only person who backs up what he says on a regular basis and performs as he visions it... BardockThaRawest You're probably new to MMA, and you thinks Nate is average because of his record. Nate is a fighter, he just wants to go in there and punch and doesn't care if he gets punched. I'd say he has lost most of his fights because his skin tissue makes him bleed a lot and like I said he gets hit a lot. UFC fighters know that a fight with Diaz won't be easy.

I'm pretty sure at least 75% of the fight is mental. Joe Rogan always talks about it on his podcast. He says guys look like champions in training then when they go out in front of the crowd when the lights are on, they choke. People who feel the pressure of the contest make different decisions and those small errors in decision-making lead to losses in combat sports.

Eddie's game plan was to double up the right hand. Mark Henry told him to keep it up in between rounds hoping he would catch Conor somehow. They were expecting Conor to slip the first one only to be hit by the second one by surprise. He got countered for it every time. The first knockdown was hilarious because Eddie tried to double it up but Conor countered with a double left and the second one hit Eddie before Eddie's right did. Conor was absolutely in the zone and nothing was going to stop him in this fight.
