It's hard to imagine that this guy died 50 years ago today (April 17th), I remember it so well even though I was only 14 years old at the time. His music is as great today as it was back then. RIP Eddie we still miss you!

One of the best sessions ever. Eddie Cochran had it all, the voice and the feeling at 100%. To young to die but his music lives forever. Thanks for that.

Had this guy not died so young and tragically, he would have given Elvis a run for his money .

I didn't know the date this was filmed, I just saw the year was 59 so I thought maybe this was one of Buddy's last performances. But both Eddie and Buddy made great music.

Besides being a rocker ahead of his time, Eddie was a handsome devil with great stage presence.

Can any of you Eddie Cochran fans help settle an arguement...did Eddie ever record or sing "live" a version of Ritchie Valens's song"Hurry Up"....I'm sure I heard him feature this great rocker on a live UK radio show??
@johnnie16017 жыл бұрын
can you beleive those guys died so young? Cochran, Holly, Valance! Real artists. life's a twat!

Eddie would have been a far far bigger star than Elvis. Such a fantastic talent even 50 years on. So, so sad.

Is that Buddy Holly behind Eddie around 0:10 or just a look a like?
@meritz5913 жыл бұрын
@rickyvale do you have a link for this?
@meritz5914 жыл бұрын
@rickyvale I know, Eddies version is better in my opinion, I just see elvis in his style and mannerisms...
@squirrelnutcased15 жыл бұрын
im suprised that hes wearing a black suit.. cause as you can see, most of the others are wearing white jackets to stand out more on the picture, cause the cameras didnt pickup black as well. you just didnt see that much. if you look, even the man in black himself wore white jackets on old TV shows! RIP eddie
