I really like the band he have here. Young guys that could play. I like esp the sax guy, looks like he came right outta highschool but he blow like a hurricane. Eddie, yes sad that he was gone after a year plus after this performance. And the US public never ever understood what a great rocker he was. Bobby here and Bobby there hit the top 100. Who rememer them now; except some nostalgia guys that was kids at that time and couldn't see the difference real vs crap

The timing in this song is so way beyond what people were used to in pop music at the time. Not even the great Buddy Holly had explored this territory before dying around the time of this video. Listen to the raunchy bottom end of this song. It's before it's time. You'd better believe some kids in England were taking notice!

Eddie Cochran had real star power, obviously. He was a cynosure. But you know, that Dick D'Agostin was quite a talent the way he got his band together, with a great versatility and a sense of showmanship. The band had an excellent sound, earthy and avant garde, and really enhanced what Cochran was doing.

Does anyone know if there is any other recording of this by EC? This is the only version I have ever found. Amazon was selling it for a while, but it was this same recording and poor sound quality.

I'd have to say that Fats Domino as great as his version of this song is just doesn't have the same energy and style as Eddie which I feel that Eddie's just blows Fat's version right outta the water!

Eddie did not move as Elvis. Eddie was himself and mostly shrugged the shoulders in his own ways. There was some stupid here or there that said that sid vicious in punk did it better. Ha....lol...how can anyone do it better than Ed?
