I don't comment much but I consider myself a high end teir 2. Will, you absolutely handled this interview perfect. You asked damn near everything us Titans fans wanted to hear. It's great to see you grow as a host. Even tho dad has the reins, to me this episode showed you can hold your own. And I'm damn proud to have you back w the boys. This may never be read by the boys but I'm glad I been here since day one. Eddie mothafuckin George. 🐺

31:49 -when Eddie talks about what it was like in Houston (in the final years of the Oilers, which were his 1st in the NFL): 'The facility was like a former, transformed, post office building.... Our meeting tables were like the wooden tables you'd see at your grandma's house.' "For lunch, we had to go down the street to this bodega for Popeyes chicken....Guys were smoking cigarettes and s**t in the parking lot..." LMAO

Die hard Titans fan here! What Eddie said about the fans and how that made the players feel around the 40:00 mark is something the Titans community needs improvement on! It's embarrassing sometimes at the games seeing lack of passion from my fellow Titans fans! Eddie, that stiff arm against Ray in '03 at Baltimore, I've never been so hype in a football moment! #goatOfstiffArms I know the history... I was at the 1st home loss (first NFL game I ever went to) at Adelphia, and I was at the the playoff game that year (Ray INT for TD and blocked FG for TD), it was worse than losing the SB because we were so good and it was against Bal.

I mean this with no disrespect to Taylor -- truly and honestly -- but this pod becomes something genuinely special when it's just Will on the bus. The conversations become so much mature, thoughtful, honest and real. I feel like Taylor tries too hard to be Chris D'Elia, always chiming in with juvenile catch-phrases like "No quesh!" and "M'babies!", which for the pods when it's just Taylor and Will work out perfectly. When there's a guest on the bus, however, and especially someone with an interesting life story, it becomes distracting and (quite honestly) borderline disrespectful to the guest. Will does a great job not only matching the energy of the guests, but also listens with genuine intent. The only times he'll cut in is when there's a moment to provide exposition to the audience, which for a first-time podcaster is **extremely** unique. He just does such a brilliant job connecting with the person across from him and getting them to tell the best versions of stories they've probably told a hundred times before. That's not only the most underrated skill for a podcaster to have, but to me is by far the most important. I love when podcasts become this personal, and you could tell a number of times when Eddie would look at Will that he was fully engaged in the conversation. He wanted to be there talking about this stuff, which given the subjects that were covered -- from Eddie's days in military school to his mother's arrest, to the passing of Steve McNair -- is no small thing. I apologize in advance for the long response, but I just absolutely loved this episode! You crushed it, Will!
