Rest in P is a 1994 posthumous album release by Parliament-Funkadelic guitarist Eddie Hazel. The album was released by P-Vine records in Japan and is composed of previously unreleased tracks recorded by Eddie Hazel in 1975-77. The album features musical support from various members of the P-Funk stable.
Alternate recordings of four tracks from Rest in P with different titles were also featured on the Jams From The Heart EP and were included as bonus tracks on Rhino Records' 2004 limited-edition reissue of Game, Dames and Guitar Thangs.
Despite being heavily sought after by collectors, Rest In P has never been released outside of Japan.

You saying THAT! Annnnnd we ALL KNOW, some more than others, that with this @$$-BACKWARDS world we live on there's going to be ALOT of unrecognition. Especially with GREATS. Eddie Hazel represented ingenuity, which is recognized widely, BUT his was tooooo progressive, talented, and high vibratory which is going to make folks jealous. So they push Eric Clapton to the front but push Eddie to the bidnack (back) because he fuc*ed up the algorithm with his Presence. Secretly they learned from him and even used him as a standard bearer while not recognizing him. I also think he also wanted to be low-key sort-of too. So it's a 1+1 equation going on. Buddy miles and billy cox wanted eddie to jpin them in their hendrix tribute band it was gonna be called the power of soul trio but eddie died before they could make some things happen plus eddie was gonna be on the original funkadelic reunion album with billy. Big foot and bernie worrell damn those woyld have been alltime funk rock classics eddie recorded lots if unreleased demos for bill laswell he has it in his vault

Sometmes eddie will play rhytym warming himself up before he starys flying and when he starts its hard for him to stop its been said that eddie would just keep playing after sessions and gigs he recorded lots of demos most are still.unreleased

I think that the song Hardcore Jollies and some other songs from "Hardcore Jollies"album are also done by Hazel. Most will deny it but you can tell his signature guitar playing is all over that record. Clinto just didn't want Hazel in the band anymore and was over him, didn't wanna give him his credit or pay what he was owed either, but thats the history of music.
