Album : Rest In P(1994)
Rest in P is a 1994 posthumous album release by Parliament-Funkadelic guitarist Eddie Hazel. The album was released by P-Vine records in Japan and is composed of previously unreleased tracks recorded by Eddie Hazel in 1975-77. The album features musical support from various members of the P-Funk stable.
Alternate recordings of four tracks from Rest in P with different titles were also featured on the Jams From The Heart EP and were included as bonus tracks on Rhino Records' 2004 limited-edition reissue of Game, Dames and Guitar Thangs.
Despite being heavily sought after by collectors, Rest In P has never been released outside of Japan.

man oh man oh man. Ahm a 64 year old white dude from lower Appalachia..........flower chlid.......always liked old R&B, soul, Muscle Shoals, etc, etc, etc, etc. Varied and eclectic stuff but much of the mainstream too. Always like the diff sound of Paliment and Funkadelcic. Never groped in the dark long enough to know the guitarist(s). Discovered Eddie and his contributions just lately. Lordy Mercy!!!. A God talent used just right! Amen.

I'm 47 and had a lovely backlash of vinyl to listen to as a kid and it stuck. Thank you "the 60's" .. we have a couple of gems that have popped up "these days|" I like Thom Yorke (Radiohead) and Ed Sheeran mines all the great information from music and creates from the heart. Been in recovery for a year and no time for regretting even though I threw away more years than I care to think about but it's music that keeps us alive. I've only just discovered Eddie and I'm a huge Hendrix worshipper (along with Beatles/Stones/TheWHo/Pink Floyd many many more

Hi Chris I love a Hendrix song called "Somewhere" there's a nice high quality version on KZbin .. Jimi and Eddie are a couple of guys that only come around once in a lifetime I'm 47 so most of the stuff that touches my soul happened before I was born. Isn't it strange that my generation listen to so much of our parents music ..I loved a lot of 80's too but the decades before really have something magic. Luckily every decade has at least a handful of songs we can't deny are masterpieces Thank God eh :)

...this is the same guitar work as the other recording...but the amazing drumming really come out on this version..this sounds like the better quality recording. But the rec on ..jams from the heart..has a haunting..super melancholy feeling about it..the more atmospheric version is “from the bottom of my heart”maybe ? See...we free..has keys and turned up bass ..during the vocals..and I think that they take away from the intimacy and desperate ness of Eddie’s vocal message.thanks for posting.🌈

I love Jimi Hendrix but in my book Eddie Hazel was perhaps a better player. Just as Jimi both played mostly under the influence but it didn't diminish neither of their skills. Prince later in his career evolved into and his growth would be unveiled as he played on stage with Tom Petty. Prince guitar solo as they perform My Guitar Gently Weeps. By the end of that performance it became and instant classic. Mike Kid Funkadelic Hampton is another guitarist whose name many should know of.
