Fighting a southpaw fighter head to head as close as they were is gonna create problems when they close the gap and they barely had a gap the whole fight.Anybody who knows anything about fighting can see why it happened.Not Katie’s fault one bit.They both did amazing and to be honest that fight last night between Taylor and Serrano has gotten my interest into women’s boxing wayyyyy up.Those two are BRAWLERS💪💪💪

Good on her trainer to stand up for their team. It was a decision from the judges people are mad at the wrong person, is not fair on Katie as she put her life and belts on the line, both fight one and two were extremely close. But it really goes down to the judges on both occasions, what those judges are looking for in terms of point we don’t know because they don’t come out and tell us and explain their scoring. The hanger is getting directed to the wrong person. Well done to both Katie and Amanda for the amazing fight and yet another chapter in the book of women,s boxing history.

Katie has a different fighting style. Other boxers need to study it and come up with their counter how to defend themselves. She ties up her opponent a lot and that’s a part of her boxing strategy. That’s just not a clean boxing style. IMO. other boxes better figure it out.

@ rarely happens in mma but it does happen but boxing is ridiculous the scores most of the time are way off this fight seemed close but it wasn’t that close super dirty fighter ref gave her to many breaks point should of been deducted after 2 or 3 head butts then disqualification but boxing is always like that holding the whole fight after using her head to hit her or push her back 💁

out landing isn't enough. Judges also consider effectiveness of punches, damage caused, whether you get countered when throwing, accuracy, defense, ring work. Thats why you're a casual and not a judge.

[I'm not a huge Katie Taylor fan. Her short reach forces her to get inside and her work doesn't always look crisp. I also scored the first fight and had Sorano winning!] *But can someone explain to me how they think Katie lost this fight? Because I didn't score it but here's how I remember it:* *1. Firstly,* Katie struggled in the first 4 rounds. *2.* There was a legal clash of heads by both parties twice in round 4, which cut open Sorano's eye. *3.* After this, Katie's really started letting her hands go *(targeting the eye with check left hooks),* and at the end of EVERY round she caused Sorano to bleed bad over her face. *Clear, effective aggression.* *4.* The cut made most of Katie's punches twice as effective. *5.* The Ref took a point off of Katie - which I disagreed with. Leaning into your opponent and wanting to fight on the inside, should not be illegal. It is the obvious way to fight if you have a much shorter reach - and making this kinda inside work "illegal" is extremely unfair imo. *6. Overall,* Sorano might have the better punch stats - but Katie's light jab to Sorano's split eye was more damaging + effective than a power punch from Sorano on Katie. *7. Therefore,* Katie's aggression (while maybe not illustrated by the stats) was far more effective. You only needed to look at both of their faces after the fight - and you could see who had been battered. *8. To conclude, Katie CLEARLY won!!* Even if you give Sorano all of the first 4 rounds + the point deduction, that's still 95-94 to Katie Taylor - *exactly what the judges got it!* *P.s. - Yes obviously headbutts are illegal and not scored - But,* the extra damage caused by punches after & due to the vulnerable area opened up the headbutt, is still scored. Thus, I am confused af as to how anyone can think that Sorano won that fight. Katie played the perfect Matador, baiting Sorano in, setting traps, targeting the cut, and if the fight continued how it was going - Sorano would've ended up blinded in one eye & KO'd.
