I don't buy that he makes up these jokes as he goes. I mean, many of us are able to make these jokes on the fly, but on command, infront an audience, it's too hard and our psyche too unreliable. I think its more likely that most of his jokes have been rehearsed repeatedly infront of a mirror and he's skilled enough to pull them out of his hat when the occasion calls for it. He cares little for a structured set, I might concede on that.
@Atamastra2 жыл бұрын
@@blurgle9185 I actually think it's somewhere between the two. I'm sure he has jokes rehearsed, but those are just monuments and rest stops on his comedic mental road trip; I think that's more likely than him having not rehearsed and memorized the set, but also rehearsed the very delivery to make it sound like he is just making it up as he goes.

i have lost count of the number of times i have watched this! Also Glorious and Definite Article. After these three, his stuff gets lazy, though, in my view, and some of the early stuff is quite raw. But for these three vids, Eddie is the master - a comic genius, no doubt. Eddie for Mayor of London!!

Mmm, unfortunately you haven’t watched the whole show, multiple references to the NRA have been edited out. View from the UK, IN LOCK DOWN. Awaiting the storm.

Wow...this was edited to take out “that was lent by the NRA”. Oh well...it doesn’t matter since there are SO MANY of us that have the entire *Dress To Kill* routine/show memorized !! (an oldie, but a goodie forever)🥀

Any theories as to the reason?
@OOG_IMP6 жыл бұрын
There's at least a few minutes missing between the bits (including the actual set up for the cake or death bit) so I don't think it was done specifically for the NRA joke. Doesn't seem like there's any deeper meaning to it. It's just some shoddy editing.
@grizzlyjefferson12286 жыл бұрын
I think the uploader only really intended to post the second half of this video, but the one-liner at the end about Hitler would be weird without the first half. So they put in enough video for context so that people wouldn't fill the comments with "why is he talking about Hitler," but instead made a situation where everyone's filling the comments with "why the weird editing."
