Yeah thats the way alot of the top heels in wrestling history have been. They'll occasionally get one over on the good guys but 9 times out of 10 their schemes backfire. But somehow their plans in the big moments always work out and they sneak away with a win. Hell Ric Flair became a wrestling icon using this exact blueprint.

@@StriderVM this is AEW where champions are champions for a year or two and they’re either afraid or biased to give the championship to someone else, I mean look at Derby Allin or Shida, at first they were awesome but after becoming the champions they’ve become cocky and extremely boring because they keep winning without any build up or substance. That’s one of the major problems I got with AEW. That and how they handled Dark, Dark supposed to be a show where newcomers show up, great! Then why their first opponent needs to be against someone that’s been with the company for most of its run? Look at Fuego Del Sol, has great potential but always gets to fight against the big ones like The Acclaimed, members of the Nightmare Family and more unfair matchups, then there’s Marty The Moth they got recently, amazing talent they got there... and they pick Bryan Cage as his first opponent after 1 plus years out of the ring... see how unfair this is? Don’t really care if Marty and Page knows each other, this is still unfair and is obvious who’s going to win... it makes it almost pointless to watch. Just imagine if NXT did this where Sasha Banks all the sudden appeared once again to NXT after losing the championship just to one-shoot everyone, it would be ridiculous wouldn’t be?
