Sad to see Eddie go. He was honestly one of the nicest guys you will meet, and ran with a chip when he wasn't injured. I still have a ton of hope for him as a hawk though, he's basically a 3rd year running back with all the seasons hes missed. He really hasn't taken a ton of punishment. If he can just stay in shape he could have a good career yet. Go get em Edward!

Honestly if the packers hadn't traded him on that injury , kept a lot more of the personal affairs with him private and got him a proper trainer he would be right up there with zeke today all he needed was encouragement something he had a lot of in Alabama he would have been fine and honestly I dont think his career is over yet im thinking The Patriots (Yes i said that but think about it with a team that is rebuilding with the lack of their dynamic TE Gronk and lack of receivers he could be that peice that they need and I know they'll get him everything he needs and get him in shape) we might see beast mode again, im a cowboys fan but man i loved this guy hope to see him otf again

Maybe the Packers tried what they could. One of the things that worked against Eddie was that he wasn't as devoted to the game as other players who have sustained greatness. In the end, a team can't babysit a player and MAKE him want to do the things necessary to stay great or get better.

BIG difference between 2013 Lacy and 2015 Lacy, 2013 he was cut and you could see his swivel hips and structure, 2015 he got love handles and his step was stuttered and can't cut on a dime anymore. Should've contacted Bama's S&C coach....gonna miss my favorite draft prediction of 2012 :(

Watching this today ya gotta' think... Packers have always had some pretty RB's ever since the Favre era... Edgar Bennett/Dorsey Levens, Ahman Green, Ryan Grant, Eddie Lacy, Aaron Jones.
