My boy Eddie was on on whole other level! To sound that good live is hard, he made it look way to easy. Keeping the crowd going and all over the stage. Kids now days will never know what it takes to accomplish this along with a lack of tskrnt

Part of it is also knowing your vocal level and not straying from it. He isn't trying to hit the high notes, he is simply singing a song. It's refreshing to hear.

I love Eddie and I LOVE this song. His guitarist was a smoke show too! Melody, style, that voice, it was all there, along with a great sense of humor and character with this man. He overcame some very tough things in his life, and that gave the work he did depth. He wasn't just banging shit out like so many today. There was no factory -- just a true love of music.

Young Eddie Money kickin ass back in the day when San Francisco was a fun town. Back in the 80s when music mattered in a big way in the Bay Area. Back in the days of the Kabuki and Wolfgang's when we had the bammies. The following year Huey Lewis would blow up the Bay Area even bigger with the sports album .Hard to remember the days when the Kabuki was anything but a movie theater. Less than five years before this winterland was alive and well only a couple blocks away. God I hate when San Francisco has become. Nothing lasts forever but it seems like it all completely went away. There are still some great bands that started in the Bay Area but it seems like the importance of music and the great live music venues we had no longer exist here. Slim's is gone. We still have the Great American Music Hall and the Fillmore.
@Margatroid3 жыл бұрын
It's not just San Francisco, it's the whole world. People have turned away from live music and dancing, and don't like to get together to just be human and enjoy a live show any more. Dance clubs are also dying, vanishing even from the major cities. Everyone's too caught up in their own narcissistic phone-worlds to want to share human energy with other people in the way a crowd at a live show does, and people are so obsessed with photographing themselves, and so convinced that they're always being watched, that nobody wants to dance. It's like everyone's turned into a cynical, overly critical wallflower who won't just get out on the floor and go with the flow. Everything has to be "perfect" all the time or people won't do it--and that's not what live music is, or even what dancing to a DJ is. You want our music culture back? Start a venue that completely bans smartphones. We need about 10,000 of those.

@@Margatroid You took the words right out of my mouth! You nailed it! I only commented of San Francisco because that's what I know. I don't doubt it's going on everywhere. This is the dark side of technology. I wish I could open a live music venue. Even so....many of the musicians have fled to friendlier territory! Hopefully a resurgence will happen at some point. A massive awakening if you will. Here's to hoping!!!!
@Margatroid3 жыл бұрын
@@unhingedsoulcollector8501 For sure, man! I still have hope. I think people are eventually going to get tired of society being so uptight and boring, and rebellious play will start up again in some places. Until then, we can just keep on being who we are and sharing good music with people when we can. The good things in life will never change!

Since I heard Two Tickets to Paradise for the first time the voice, the energy, the good musical taste was no coincidence. It was more than 15 years ago when I started listening to Rock and Roll. However, I had never looked into his live performances. He is an incredible performer. Everything was very natural, somehow it was everything I expected in his gestures and movements. A true rock star!
