I don't have cable (stream, MUCH cheaper, and I love it), and I know/miss late TCM host, Mr Robert Osborne. I'm guessing (and this is my question) that this gentleman - Mr Muller - was a tryout for the (full-time) position of TCM host? I know he's a writer,, by profession, not professional speaking, and he tells 'Italian' (with his hands - a lot), which is distracting, and almost always the director will tell the on-camera person (the person being filmed, i.e., Mr Muller), to keep their hands DOWN. Since this was from '18, what happened - did Mr Muller get the full-time gig, if not, have they (yet) found one, and if Mr Muller is still seen on-air, have his hands become less viable? If anyone is (MIS)reading this and (FOOLISHLY) what I've said (N-O; in NO way am I: commenting upon, disparaging, etc. Mr Muller, NOR the intro), this was actually a very interesting mini-lesson about this film (which I'm, about to watch).

Eddie Muller presents films noir exclusively. No one person has replaced Osborne; TCM has 3 hosts now (in addition to Muller)

I miss Robert very much. Muller is doing well with Noir Alley and has a devoted following.

The "talking with one's hands" has become distressingly common, particularly when the host is standing and not standing behind a lectern or sitting behind a desk.
