I have to say, I think Josh Zuckerman's portrayal of Eddie is absolutely exceptional.

When he smiled whilst watching a mother with her son, heartbreaking. Poor kid just wanted to be loved.

I really felt my heart like hurt for him when he said, " I don't want a friend, I want someone to love me" part. I really started crying on that part. It is just so sad to think that no one truly loved him or treated him right. Thank God for Lynette otherwise I do not think Eddie would have any hope...

okay this comment was 5 years ago but i feel the same. i turned on the tv and i came right on that part where he said that and i just teared up. and when the prostitute laughed at him, he didnt know how to behave around Girls and i never judged him for becoming a serial killer. he was just lost and felt unloved and thats really sad.

I really sympathise with Eddie because there was once a time in my life where I almost became him. Growing up I was desperate to find a real girlfriend who loves me for me but nobody noticed me. I was angry and frustrated but I would never hurt anyone. The difference between us is that I had a loving family and never known abuse. Now that I’m older I still don’t have a girlfriend but I’m not obsessed on getting one as I used to. Eddie to me represents how my life could’ve turned out had I not had a loving family and great friends. I don’t condone murder but I can understand how he’s been treated.

this is such a brilliant video for such a fantastic storyline. I loved Eddie and Josh Zuckerman's acting was so well done that it didn't even seem strange that I was feeling such empathy towards a murderer. The lines that always get me are the, "I don't want a friend, I want someone to love me!" and "will you call them for me?" as he bursts into tears at the end. I'd so gladly go out with him

This actor did such an amazing job. The writers did, too. They made a serial killer into someone I truly feel sympathy for. His life was heartbreaking. I’m not trying to rationalize a murderer but I truly feel his psychotic episodes while killing were not his fault. I’m all about personal accountability too but in this case I really don’t blame him. The other killers in the show (and in real life) I do blame. Eddie is a rare exception.

His storyline was soooo interesting. I really liked that season because of him.

Eddie deserved better. Initially he did nothing wrong he just existed and his mom hated him for it. She couldve gave him up for adoption instead of keeping him just to hurt him.

Even after all these years Eddie's story still hurts to watch. Poor boy had a shit life, neglected by most, shown kindness by others but never his mother....great acting by Josh.

I hate Susan's character. She's so horrible, annoying and dumb:-( just like Gaby. Lynette also is a huge pain.. In some scenes :P 😝

I don't watch the show,sometimes if its on I do, but when I came across an episode on Tv with this Eddy character I was just enthralled by the actor playing him,the people who cast that actor were extremely fortunate cause the bastard not only out-acts most of the actors on the show but the son of bitch's screen presence is second to none amongst the show's cast

I'm slightly confused by his age. Is he the same age as Porter and Preston? If so he would not be at high school the same time as Danielle Van De Kamp who was in her twenties following the time jump after Season 4? Perhaps they just didn't use another younger actor to play him for his storyline with Bree.
@Barbs19915 жыл бұрын
I know it’s 3 years since you wrote this, but I’m rewatching desperate housewifes right now snd this exact question came to my mind. I tried to google it, but could’t find anything, therefore I tried youtube and found your comment. I guess the producers just didn’t think this through! Kind of a huge fuck up on their part 😅
@Joe_Parmesan5 жыл бұрын
It's hard to say. My guess is that Eddie was a freshman at the time of talking to Bree, and Danielle was 16 or 17. The time jump was five years, putting him at 19ish and Danielle at 23 (she turned 18 in season 4 during her pregnancy). This storyline was two years later, so he'd be around 21. I figured Preston and Porter were 18 or 19 during this season, because Lynette was upset that Preston (or was it Porter?) went to Europe instead of going to school after graduation. It's kind of messy, but feasible.

Well look at Susan's daughter Julie she had a baby with Porter Lynnettes son and he was a kid back in seasons 1-4 when Julie was a teenager. It sounded like they must have liked college-age girls.
