Hendrix's version was great in a purely musical sense but dylan's was superior in that it was truer and more appropriate with respect to the lyrical aspects and poetic theme of the written words.

Good God, you've grown into such an incredible MAN. I feel a fool for underestimating you when we were kids, Brother. I related more and preferred Chris. I realize I was probably denying my truer match and passion. And Chris cried so well when I could not cry at all. Most of my old friends are dead now, including, Cornell. Thank you for keeping yourself inside, cultivating it like wilderness and please know how grateful I am for you sharing what you're given. There are so many, I don't have a favorite but perhaps most of all 'Society' helps keep me going and I listen to it and you singing whenever I need. Thank you. Live On, Vedder.

I have watched this a few times now. How can you not say it isn't TREMENDOUS!! The passion, sound, and only 2 guys killing it!
+Tony Byrnes "How can you not say it isn't TREMENDOUS". Such a complex sentence. That would be a great title and line in a song. Anyway, let me try --- This version of Watchtower is not tremendous. I guess that is one way of saying it, nicely.
@Tbyrnes38 жыл бұрын
Not sure why you are being sarcastic on this.Either you don't like Eddie Vedder or thus version, or your jealous you have no music talent.This cover is Tremendous!
@ludlow3d8 жыл бұрын
Tony Byrnes Let's see ... I found your sentence kind of intriguing in its complexity. So I decided to have fun with it, that's all. Since taste is such a relative matter, and your sentence was so emphatic, I just couldn't resist. How my comment could possibly indicate that I am jealous because I have no musical talent is an even more intriguing observation. Would you mind explaining what would lead you to that assumption?
@ludlow3d8 жыл бұрын
ahhahahahahaa, how true, and in Latin no less. Many people get very upset when you don't like what they like. Want to see something even more dramatic? Say something that confuses them. E pluribus cucurachas meus
