What an amazing job Eddie does with this song. Yes it is a Springsteen song, and I love Bruce, but Eddie stays true to the song. I am not usually into covers but I have never heard a cover Pearl Jam does that I haven't really liked. One of the most awesome voices in history of rock and roll.

Eddie kills it on this and so many others, Petty and him do the waiting like no other, REM, man on the moon, Bowie and Eddie do comfortably numb, last kiss, so many, he respects the music and the musicians and nails them. Love Eddie

Superb job on this cover. You would think that it was Eddie’s song. It is my favorite Boss song that never got played after 1988 for some reason.

Yes, great cover. I love both. You are not right. Boss played it a few years ago and I'd love to hear it at his concert. You can find it on YT.

yes, springsteen wrote this originally, it was off the tunnel of love album from 1987... it pretty much was often called the " who the bleep did i marry" album.. his marriage was falling apart... this song pretty much sums it up.

Yes, it was a Springsteen song first. I read somewhere Vedder didn't want this to get out because it contrasted with his early image once he joined Pearl Jam...either way it's amazing, and I love his version. Kenny Chesney covered it too, and as much as I don't like country it actually works out.

The first time I heard the song it may have been this version: I had thought at the time that it might be Gordon Lightfoot singing it - and I wish he'd cover it, because it'd be great!

LOL. I was about to say I never knew who did the music but it was this Cianci guy given credit in this title I guess. Then I noticed the KZbin channel was giorgiocianci and that he has multiple songs by Eddie, Alice in Chains and others that he's just throwing his name on top of. Kind of a dick move.

This is Eddie Vedder doing a Springsteen song. There's no one named "Giorgio" involved at all.
