Today I am going to go though my list of the things I dislike the most about living in uganda as an african american. This list doubles as reasons why I will not move to uganda at this time in the countries history or my life.

I have the same issue when it rains in tanzania. No proper drainage. Currently, it is rainy season in TZ, Kenya, and Uganda. Internet is expensive here in tanzania also. Power outages are a problem here too. Frequently Power outages get to me. I can handle the rest but not Power outages

In Uganda we say if you wash your clothes and it rains it means that you are a very envious or jealous person 😅😂I feel you and I usually don’t wash my own clothes I pay someone so my clothes would get dry 😂 it works ❤

Actually, rain is a blessing. Uganda has more freshwater than any other country in Africa - 69 freshwater lakes to be exact, including Lake Victoria, the second largest freshwater lake in the world. Since you have been to Egypt as I have, you have seen what a desert looks like and the consequences of the scarcity of water. In Uganda we take water for granted because we have so much of it, including the source of the mighty River Nile, which is the lifeblood of the Egyptians. As a result, the whole country is evergreen with bright sunshine every day. We grow most of our food throughout the year. There are not many countries around the world that can do that. All of our land is arable, fertile and productive. Uganda hardly spends money on food imports. We don't have to transport it for long distances to get to the dinner table either or to preserve it. That is why our visitors have said that the food tastes better than any other in East Africa. If the numerous wild animals in our game parks could talk, they would tell you how much they like it in Uganda. Thank you very much for pointing out some things among others we really need to work on, in order to let "The Pearl of Africa" shine even more brightly.

@@nleddie No, on my way to attend university abroad, I had stopped over in Cairo, Egypt, looked around for a day or two, toured the pyramids and then boarded the next plane bound for Paris, France, which was my next stop.

Good piece Apolo. You only know how home is beautiful when you move away. I am in Canada and l now appreciare Uganda my home land in all aspects;the warmth if the people,the food,the natural sunlight,the trees and birds singing sweetly in the trees,the housing with proper fencing,to mention but a few..... Like the proverb goes.East or West.... Uganda is really the Pearl of Africa

Uganda may be a relatively small country in comparison to her neighbours, but we are one of the few countries in Africa and the whole world, who can claim to have a habitable country without deserts, inhospitable weather and other geographical disadvantages. Yes, it is after one has been around that one realises how blessed we are in Uganda. Imagine being confined at home or engaging in daily activities in bitter cold weather for most of the year except for about four months! How about being unable to see the sun at all for months on end year after year! Thank God, we have none of that in Uganda.

I wonder what part of the US you are from? It rains a lot in the US as well. Each African country is different. Uganda is like Zimbabwe in my option with the road conditions and lack of development. With the laundry, I'm sure you could have use laundry service as I did. Electricity is a problem in most African countries, i don't that should be a problem. What internet service in the US cost $22? 😅. I want that service. I'm paying $55 a month 😅. Keep up the good work. I enjoy traveling to Africa 🌍 as well.

Los angeles. I had spectrum internet. They dont just offer you internet for 22. I had to fight them a little and say I dont want all this bundle bundle non sense give me straight wifi nothing else. Thanks for leaving a like and comment on the video
