I bought the 2011 Audi R8 v10 Spider. It's pearl gray. I love the sound it makes up shifting & down shifting. There is more leg room in the coupe, I'm a little cramped in the spider. I did not like the sound system, so I replaced it with the Pioneer AVH - 2500NEX. Stock black Audi wheels. I installed the red Alloy Gator Rim protectors, it makes the wheels pop. I also carbon fiber wrapped the hood. It's a bad ass car.

Hi George I plan On buying one of these this year ,preferably the v8 , I’m about 6ft ,will the spyder be uncomfortable, i really love the aesthetics , and the availability of the drop top ,but I’m thinking the coupe might be a better fit ,any advice ?

@@Dl-zm5nd Yes because the convertible folds behind the driver's seat. It takes away your leg room. I'm 5'10" & my right foot would get stuck when I entered the car. I was going to buy a coupe locally, which I check out. It had tons of leg space. It was sold before I could get the down payment. I bought the Spyder site unseen. That when I realized that it was tight inside.

George Cicairos what a shame I do like how the side blades look and being able to see the engine though so it’s a reasonable compromise ,maybe when I want to have some fun in the sun I can bother my neighbor for his ,and he can babysit the coupe ,cheers!

@@Dl-zm5nd Mine was a 2011 V10. I don't know if the new ones have more leg room. I sold it and bought a 2006 Ferrari F430 coupe.

Musicman_HD the only issue i have with the R8 is gas. Im going to be a college student this year (just graduated from hs in June) and getting 11-13 MPG really will be annoying going to and back from class. And with the v10 ive heard a lot of reliability issues but, i do agree the v10 is definitely the way to go. I personally love the GTR the most as its reliable but, id need to drop $4,000 on an exhaust which will be annoying.. its really a tough choice for me.
