What is the reality of living with a GMC Hummer EV SUV? Join me as we find out by spending a week with this $107,000 EV super SUV. Our week included a road trip out to Chicago which led to lots of time at charging stations and plenty of opportunity to try out handsfree Super Cruise. When using the fast charging EA chargers they are like $0.56/kWh, which is pretty pricey!!

Charging an EV at home will be $0.20/kwh or less at home on average. so yes, it is cheaper than gas at home where you will charge 99% of the time.

The best trucks never get built by OEM's. Imagine if this hummer had a 6.7 cummins with the tire inflation system from the H1. It will never exist, but hopefully future hummers will have a diesel option.

You EV Charge overnight when it's much cheaper than during the day when others are doing the same. That way, no waiting for free one. Why you get any EV that have EV charging at home set up.

This vehicle pissed off so many *gm* haters. Still to this day people want to cancel GMC for releasing this. They wanted its story to be "Excessive, Big for nothing, heavy, bad quality, dated tech, clunky, inefficient, impractical, poor handling/performance, and gimmicky with no actual presence or appeal. But instead it does everything well and it looks good while doing it. Certainly a halo vehicle for GMC and it looks exactly like the concept truck. This thing beat the Cybertruck to market, Tesla finally released the Cybertruck and it still needed software updates shortly after launch just to complete what the Hummer was already doing for years off road. 😬
