Sir i think there is mistake 1:04:36 :- Oncotic pressure and osmotic pressure are related but not exactly the same: Oncotic Pressure: - Also known as colloid osmotic pressure - Exerted by proteins (mainly albumin) in blood plasma - Helps maintain fluid balance and prevent edema - Measured in mmHg (millimeters of mercury) Osmotic Pressure: - Exerted by all solutes (including proteins, sugars, and salts) in a solution - Caused by concentration gradients and differences in solute concentrations - Affects fluid movement, cell shape, and cellular processes - Measured in mmHg or atmospheres (atm) Key differences: - Oncotic pressure is a specific type of osmotic pressure exerted by proteins in blood plasma. - Osmotic pressure is a more general term that encompasses all solutes, not just proteins. - Oncotic pressure helps maintain fluid balance, while osmotic pressure drives fluid movement. Think of it like this: - Oncotic pressure is a specific "protein-related" osmotic pressure. - Osmotic pressure is a broader "solute-related" pressure. While related, they are not exactly the same. May be i am wrong sir because i have not much knowledge as you... But if i am wrong, then teach me... Allah will bless you more... Aameen
