I just want to let everyone know that I am fully aware EDEN sings "wish I had" at 3:36 (not "we shall hurt"), and I have amended my mistake with KZbin annotations, so please make sure you have these enabled. However, if you're on a mobile device then you'll just have to bear it, sorry. Thank you to everyone who pointed it out, I merely misheard those lyrics when creating this video. Mistakes happen. Although, if/when I find the missing lyrics to 2:03, I will re-upload this video with amended lyrics so people on all devices can listen and enjoy. Thank you for your understanding. Your ever-growing support means the world to me. :)

Mom passed away last year this song hits different. The way I perceive this masterpiece is different. “Just one moment now is all i ask for” all i need is one moment to tell you everything I wanted to tell you when you were still here. “And all the years I won't ever let them go” all of those years my mom took care of me I wouldn't forget all of it the love and support you gave me helped me to become who I am today. The things you did for me I won't forget “until the time comes for me to turn to dust” and I know “time heals nothing at all” no matter how long i live my life I'll always have this void in my heart that no one could ever fill. You are the greatest blessing that god could ever give and I regret taking all of it for granted. Mom “i’ll be missing you, for a lifetime” I can't wait for the day I'd see you again in heaven. For now, I'd live through this hell each day I know, at the end of this suffering I'll find my way back to you.

I feel like the reason that this song and times like these hit me so hard is because they are all about an end of an era, and having just finished school - and probably not going to see half of the people again - gives me the exact same feelings these songs are about, and it just makes both of them that much more special. Shame there will be not studio version, but this proves his talent by singing something good enough to be a studio song in front of his peers

I agree! I had that idea in my head while creating this video. It's what helped me put the lyrics together, to ensure it all made sense with what EDEN was singing.
@Pinguinlala8 жыл бұрын
how do you get the idea that this song was about school?
@stars18228 жыл бұрын
Pinguin lala 18 years to turn to dust, 18 years of school. this is a performance at school before graduation. he says I swore to god I wouldn't cry, I believe he is talking about he won't cry when graduating. But songs are here for you to interpret them in anyway you like, so if you think its something you can relate to interpret in that way too, this is just my take on it though.

I feel like this song is towards a loved one that's passed on and has died who meant a lot to Jonathan. For example, "and just one moment, is all i ask for" - Asking to see them once more so he can share his feelings. Not letting go of "all the years" as well; holding onto the memories that "break me down". As well, he references himself dying quite a lot in this one and it's dependent on when "the time comes for me / to turn to dust". I feel like a truly loved one has died and he's singing to them.

@shadpho43996 жыл бұрын
Shahmeer Bakht Usually EDEN does release music that has 'sentimental value to him', a clear example of this is his latest album, Vertigo, so I doubt the original comment isn't the correct interpretation. I think xLucky Prr's interpretation is a lot more accurate, but that's just my opinion. (:

Brother man. The way Eden writes he always hides emotions with big words for example 'amnesia' this song was about moving on from school. He was probably not the coolest kid in high school yah know? So he said that he'd probably turn to dust to others. But one portion of the song has to be about a woman. He says about how time heals nothing, and how he wants amnesia. I think Jon's heartbroken.
