A tree in Judaism is a symbol of life. In the video it is turned upside down and this symbolizes those who look at us from Heaven... Two worlds, like a mirror image. The hurricane on October 7 struck and uprooted what was loved and dear, forever dividing people into two worlds, and now they will not meet again. No matter how many times I listen to this song, I cry. There is so much incredibly strong pain in the song, which is difficult to express in words and which bursts into the heart like a hurricane and tears at the soul. First time I saw someone post about the Tree of Life in the song. Other biblical references are in the song as well. One of her blouses had a bullet hole. The paper swirling round reminded me of the terrorists on motorcycles . . . . Also: the bond between the men & the women in the dancing. The men wanted to protect the women & were not able to . . . . It is abstract enough to remove us from some of the horrors, while giving strength & beauty & healing. It made me cry. The grief which heals.

@@brynawaldman5790 let me add something. it's an olive tree. it's a protected tree here in Israel and it's not allowed to be cut and taken out. the fact that this tree is so violently cut out from the ground cause it's such a rooted and meaningful tree for us is very upsetting to witness. the cut tree with all it's symbolism is what we experienced on October 7th. also the olive tree symbolize peace. the fact that peace in hanging on a string shows the danger and fragile place Israel and the jews are at and the hope for peace is slowly dying.

Atheist Jews in Israel would see an olive tree torn out by the roots & hanging by a thread, & religious people would see the Tree of Life, & one can see both; the fragile reality here & the dangers, & a trust for teachings in Torah. I picked out a lot of references to Jewish mysticism in the song. In the promotion video before the contest started I saw the landscape was like the land around the Nova Music Festival. In the onstage performance I see the terror tunnels under Gaza in the circular structure they used onstage.

Israel has been a regular participant in Eurovision for over 50 years. Israel also won Eurovision 4 times .12 times Israel managed to get into the first five places in the final of the competition, and 21 times it got into one of the first ten places. Israel came second twice. The competition is of the European Broadcasting Union and because Israel is a member of the union it participates in the competition.

This song is ofcourse about the October 7th massacre that the ter*or organization "hamas" launched on israel, rap*ng, behea*ing, burn*ng alive, mutil*ting and murd*ring over 1,300 babies, children, women men and elderly - IN ONE DAY, and this song focused especially on the (over) 250 young ppl who were partying and raving at the NOVA peace and love DANCE FESTIVAL whom were also massacred by Hamas - then they (Hamas) went and kidnapped over 240 innocent ppl from their homes - over 130 of them ARE STILL BEING KEPT CAPTIVE (for over 6 months now!!!) in hamas ter*or tunnels in gaza, amongst them is a 1 y/o baby who "celebrated" his 1st b-day in captivity (and also his 4.5 y/o brother and their Mom) - over 30 of them were recently announced dead by hamas (even though they were very much alive when they were kidnapped!), and some of them were SOLD BY HAMAS to even more extreme rer*or groups, and their whereabouts is unknown. This song is with REVISED LYRICS, after the original song - which was titled "October rain", was considered by the EBU (European Broadcasting Union - the orgenizers of the Eurovision) for being too political, and they banned the song, thus forcing Israel to change the lyrics, if they (meaning we, I'm from Israel) want to participate in the upcoming Eurovision song contest, in May, in Sweden. Я подчеркнула в своем комменте, что мой взгляд на финал - другой, это мое личное восприятие и оно мне дорого. Я видела членов семей похищенных, скандирующих "верните их сейчас!!" рядом с собой и их боль у меня ассоциируется с последним эпизодом. Но это и не важно. Чем больше ассоциаций и интерпретаций вызывает оригинал, тем более высокий художественный уровень он имеет. Этот клип - песня - шедевр.

The language at the end is Hebrew and Israel is , like Cyprus, a member of the European Broadcasting Union which is the criterion for participation aside from the one exception, Australia which is allowed to participate also because they love the contest so much and asked nicely. The song can be interpreted, as all music can, by the listener and if it strikes a chord with you you fill it with your own meanings. Obviously, from the point of view of the writers it was meant to reflect the storm of emotions released by the mass slaughter of of over 1000 Israeli citizens on the morning of Oct 7th and the continued hostage situation but it is vague enough to be open to many other interpretations too. This will be long. Sorry in advance. I'd like to sum up: The song has two languages, English and Hebrew. The song seems to talk about a break up but it has a deeper meaning. The hurricane she talks about is actually Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7th and the war that's been going on ever since for 7 months now. Hamas broke into Israel, murdered over 1,533 people (And sadly still counting), did the unthinkable many and to top it all, kidnapped over 140 hostages, the youngest being 9 months old baby Kfir Bibas. 300 of the people killed that day were from a rave party that was happening by the border of Israel and Gaza. Today it is known as the Nova Massacre and the majority of this clip hints at those lost angels. Here are some of the hidden messages in the clip: The gasps in the beginning - Representing the fear of those attacked that day. "People walk away but never say goodbye" - A message to those who lost loved ones in that war to remember those loved ones are with us forever. "Whose the fool who told you boys don't cry?" - Hints to the Bibas brother, aside from baby Kfir, his 4 year old brother, Ariel, is there too (Plus the parents, Yarden and Shiri). They're boys but they're also babies. The circles of dancers around Eden in the beginning of the chorus - The dance "Hora". It is known that on the day Israel recieved Liberty, the jewish people went out to the streets dancing that dance. The upside down hanging tree - An olive tree. One of Israel's symbol and also the symbol of Golani; One of Israel's army's strongest units that lost the most people in the war. "We shall pass but love will never die." - We lost a lot but we'll dance again. The break of dawn - October 7th's attack started on 6:30AM that morning while everyone was peaceful and sleeping. The high notes - A scream that represents one of many that happened then. There are many more hidden messages and I wish I could remember all. It's important that people will know. What happened can't be forgotten.
