15:37 Just want to add that each of the pillar aoes deal 999 999 damage through invuln, so you do need to run away from them after the dash as the tank or you die.

Started FF14 shortly before Shadowbringers and decided 5.2 was where I was gonna start Savage content Figured Id start with Cinder EX just to get an idea for the harder content, it wasnt that bad, got the clesr yesterday, some confusing stuff at first but pretty simple overall once you know what to do But man this looks pretty nuts, excited to try it after getting my weapon from Cinder EX

Just a heads up, crippling blow for main tank needs a stack orb, you can watch the first judgement bolt go off and before blow goes off he grabs another orb

I just started savage this reset, as I came back last autumn after a 5 year break and took my time working through all content the last 8 months. Used to watch MTQ guides...but after discovering your guides I'll never touch those ever again, they are shit compared to yours. Yours and joonbons guides are by far the best you can find. Cleared E5S and E6S thanks to your guides and made it to post adds in E7S in my very first week of progressing.

Alex Robinson my group did it blind and we ended up with the “triangle strat” because our healer didn’t feel comfortable having the mt take it as Ramuh is autoattacking while this is happening

At TC -> 00:24:23 You returned the CL onto your healer (Who had just given it to you, hence killing them) and you're saying that taking orbs killed your healer. This is wrong. Please don't misinform people. Orbs have nothing to do in CL mechanic. Good vid though.

oh i didn't mean that the act of picking up the orb is what killed the healer, but more like, i went to grab an orb and thus got to close to my healer which is what made CL bounce to them rather then the DRG, thus killing them

I still don't understand what you mean when you say "twisters" - I only started in Shadowbringers and everyone told me to skip Bahamut's Coil, so I don't know how they work.

when stepped leader finishes casting it will leave a "twister" (in this case a thunder aoe) where you were standing, so you need to move away from that position which is why we stack up, to bait all the aoe's and then move out once the cast is done, so we dodge these aoe's

When the cast completes, it snap-shots your position and leaves a killer puddle where you were standing. You have to move off that position, and other people have to avoid stepping on it.

it can only touch the tethered person, so you don't have to worry about it going through other people

It kills whoever is tethered to it if it reaches them. Tether is based off of orbs.

it will straight up kill. its also proximity based too. me and my static found this out during a run

and by kill it just walks upto you and touches you. bam your dead cause it does over 210k iirc and the mini tb from it does roughly 60-75% of your hp as a tank. otherwise 180k+ from what i remember

While the blue tether is there, the person with it takes damage every several seconds until the bird reaches them. When it reaches the tethered player - it deals very high damage - likely depending on the distance the bird travelled, but I cannot confirm this. Walking through the tether doesn't transfer it - it is transferred to the person with most charges - OT should have 3 to survive the damage.

Ok im having a huge problem with 14 as a tank during the knockback... I pop hallowed ground, stand in the circle looking at the boss, channel the duty action, get knocked off anyway.. what am i doing wrong.. People say look at him, i am, people say have an orb, i do... be in the center? Check... Does it not count as looking at him if i point my camera away even if my character is still facing the boss???

our tanks still get knocked away, but they don't fly of the arena i'm not sure what you're doing wrong D: i asked them and they say stand on circle, press invuln, duty action and pray ^^"

@@IlyaDalamiq i got into another pug and experimented... it really does seem that if you try to move the camera off the boss during the channel, it doesnt work... i would need further experimentation to confirm that for sure but all i can say is if i dont try to pan the camera and do everything mentioned; it works... Or just as simple, press the duty action and dont-fucking-do-anything... dont open a menu, dont pan your camera.... just stare at the boss and yeah, prey..

Your character has to face directly at the boss while the Duty action is happening, because if you move or face the wrong direction even if you use the Duty action, it's a wipe.

Also weather hes empowered or not seems to be totally scripted and doesnt matter if you just learn the fight in order.. with the exception of that very first thing where he dashes down the middle and you go short or long.. For ladder, its whirlwind > doughnut > whirlwind> doughnut every time.
