If this is the 2nd easier ultimate. Explain to me why pf keeps saying UR prog but we end up messing up tethers, DD, LR and get dd everywhere. Like how is it possible. I've been on UR prog for 3 weeks and seriously I think I missed the boat of B and C listers and now I gotta try to clear with D listers.

I don't think anything will be more difficult than DSR or ToP. DSR is what separated real good players from just the above average ones. Meanwhile ToP is Square answer to thode who wanted a real challenge. At the end the community failed and resorted to cheats 😂. FRU-like difficulty will be the standard from now on. It will offer the players a difficut challenge without going overboard.

I'm not sure either what they'll do with Picto either because balancing the need to paint with being barely stronger than jobs that don't have to do that hassle is a problem in itself, they could increase painting cast time to 4 seconds (and recast to 5) drop the raid buff from 5% to 3%. making downtime actually difficult to stand and cast, but realistically again if your reward for optimizing that painting isn't that great why even bother? That's also why MCH is kinda cursed because if BRD and DNC needs the help of teammates to improve their dmg and even when maximised a MCH was able to easily outdamage them , then why bother with BRD and DNC at all? Sadly balance in a game is difficult to do when all these variables enter into play and at a certain point ppl should accept the state of things, the importance is if jobs are viable and ppl don't simply lock spots. Which sadly it's something that won't happen anymore in XIV as the game increased in popularity and all

I would definitely say tea and ucob at content were easier. Ucob took us way longer on content but the mechs are still a big step up from og ultimates.

Using Bossquotes for mechanics but dont care to give them voicelines is for me one of the WORST designed Boss Mechanics i ever see since i play MMOs I mean Lotro had this back then in 2008 and it was often for very trivial mechanics, i dont know if they already did this but i rly hope they use this new "red textlines" from the current Trials for UCOB that will help a lot 15:20 Picto is imo a rly strange spot because he has a strength that until now only some Jobs like Darkknight has, when you watch at DSR at the end of EW even when DRK was the weakest tank dpswise, he was still very strong in DSR in the Thordan Phases because DRK has literally no problems with downtimes in fight, compare to Gunbreaker or even Warrior But now we have a Caster that should be dps wise on the same lvl like a Blackmage that gets even stronger when he have downtime in fights and thats the point where things go crazy.

In phase 4, Ladonsbite, Shadowbite, and Rain of Death technically do more damage than Burst Shot, Refulgent Arrow, and Heartbreak Shot. I wonder why you decided to stick with those single-target skills in the recording.

The Job system in FF11 was so good. Why did they fuck it up? I could never play 14 because of this. Thaumaturge spamming 2 abilities for 30 levels before I can even try any of the jobs that I recognize, that you could start as in ff11? Yeah, fuck no

Fastest solo without leeching with that sardine crap would be to use exp food and pots and take out monsters around 3 ~ 5 levels higher than you one at a time. you get a large chunk of exp but you also get a chained bonus so you get more and more as you take out more monsters. of course this will require you to have the best skills and best gears for your current level or it wont really be too fast at all. I literally spammed choco meteor and goblin punch from 50 to 60 using a healing chocobo, 60 to 70 is similar you just move to different maps. and make sure you catch up on the BLU main story quests too.

The true difficulty of these fights are the preserverence and motiviation to keep going until you clear. Bear in mind this includes your party hence why statics break- when one person falls, others may follow and get demotivated. The fights are hard, no denying that. But they really arent the hardest things ive played in my time as a gamer. The true difficulty is the 7 people who have differing skills and motivations. You are only as good as your worst party member. Help them where you can to understand mechs and rorstion points during a phase All in all? The 8 man structure is the true difficulty of these fights. Everything else is a song and dance. If mechs were all randomized THEN it would be the hardest thing ive done as a gamer

Something I still don’t understand: If you are in Formless Shift and you don’t have Opo-Opo Fury, are you supposed to press Dragon Kicl or Leaping Opo? IcyVein says always Leaping Opo, but I swear, I can’t tell if you if I get the bonus potency or a Chakra orb when I do. Like that’s the most annoying thing I find with MNK right now is that I don’t know if my abilities are working or not. And during Perfect Balance, do you need the orb to get the bonus damage to Leaping Opo, or do you always need the orb no matter what? Honestly, my only real hang-up on MNK has always been which rules apply and how fuck does Formless Shift actually work. Coz the game tooltips suck.

I feel like monk needs the treatment that dragoon got, where you can start into blood phase right off rip if you want. Having to use an opener that uses two of the same masterful blitz attacks just doesnt feel right. Maybe bring back anatman and make it so that it gives you both a lunar and solar nadi upon use? It does seem kind of powerful, but it would make it fall in line with the rest of the jobs having an instant "powerful" combo starter.
