She is flawless live. So many vocalists are not these days. For me, this separates the talented from the pretenders. This has been one of my favorite bands for a long time.

I wish I could see it... It is absolutely beyond the beauty! I don't know words for it! It is was the best concert which I've ever seen. Professional musicians, playing without excessive flaunt... Professional Singer with strong and clear voice, which is big rarity on the concerts... And all atmosphere... I clearly saw how strong they love and respect what they played and for whom they played... Sorry for terrible english) and thanks! You are the best band in my heart! Be forever in sunshine!

I think you can. I just checked out the Edenbridge Fan Club and they are taking pre-orders for a 6 DVD set for not a lot of money. The third DVD in the set seems to contain these songs in the order the video has it, so that is probably it. It has several sets on it. Price is €34.99. That's $41.27 by today's exchange rates for the whole 6 DVD set. Plus shipping. without the vocals this would be my favorite band. Since I first have seen this in 2005 I come back occasionally now and then and skip to all instrumentals. Worth it every time. Dunno why so much music needs vocals (well I in fact know it ...cus... ppl not listening to "music" after all most of the time). For me it's just frustrating because so much good music gets ruined by bad/not fitting singers (all personal taste of course). All I can do is hope for an instrumental on youtube or agonize myself getting used to whatever singer annoys me :P

+nighthawk82 there are a lot of underground/unheard symphonic metal artists. I'd suggest start from Sons of Seasons (Kamelot's keyboard player's project), Dracovallis, Peter Crowley Fantasy Dream. Now may I know some bands with vocals that you like?

+China Tosinthiti First of all thanks for your recommendations. I knew Sons of Seasons and Dracovallis (like this one) but will give the other one a shot, too. This one here (Edenbridge) is very neo-classical influences. I've tried Malmsteen but I just don't like his music for the most part. Tastes are very different and a person will usually also move on with the music he/she likes. I mostly only listened to symphonic / power metal several years ago. But I never regret or feel bad about the music I once listened ;) Nowadays I barely listen to any metal. Wintersun and Be'lakor comes to my mind. Yes they both have vocals but to be honest I don't listen to them cus of the vocals, too. Overall I'm more into female vocals when I really also listen to the vocals. Here Merethe Soltvedt and Julie Elven coming to my mind. And yes that's a complete different genre again. Oh well, have a good day!

Ok, I got a much better idea of what you are looking for and what you don't like, and non-metal is also accepted too. Check out Arn Andersson, The L-Train: Moonrise Opera (they have non-vocal backing tracks in the album), Adrian von Ziegler, and also Peter Crowley...

Den Komentar hab ich damals geschrieben als ich Edenbridge "entdeckte". Ich wohne seot über 26 Jahren in Finnland und kannte EB nicht - natürlicher Weise der Vergleich. Mittlerweile habe ich mich in EB vertieft - man kann nicht sagen besser oder schlechter - ANDERS, EB hat doch einen Stil der an NW gleicht aber doch anders ist. Mein Sohn und ich haben uns zwei EB-Lieder einstudiert - SHINE und THE FINAL CURTAIN. Er spielt am Flügel, ich auf der Hammond. Letzte Woche hatten wir einen live-Auftritt und spielten beide songs und das Publikum war begeistert. Nur insider kennen EB in Finnland was ich schade finde weil ich finde dass sie Weltklasse haben!

Mein Kommentar sollte auf keinen Fall Finnland-feindlich aufgefasst werden (habe selbst eine enge Freundin dort), vielmehr bezog es sich darauf, dass aus Finnland eine ganze Reihe toller Musiker und Bands kommen und ich mich freue, dass solche Musik wie die von EB auch im deutschsprachigen Raum zu finden ist. Mich ärgert nur, dass immer alles mit NW verglichen wird, obwohl es ebenbürtiges (auch in Finnland zB Amberian Dawn) gibt. Das Wort "besser" war überspitzt wegen der Überhöhung von NW, letztlich ist es natürlich Geschmackssache. Ich finde es super, dass Sie auch selbst die Musik, die Sie mögen pflegen, das machen viel zu wenige und verfüllen dann die Kommentarseiten mit zT dummen Texten. Das hatte mich genervt, ich hoffe, Sie verstehen. Ich wünsche Ihnen und Ihrem Sohn viel Erfolg!

Keine Angst, hab's zwischen den Zeilen schon verstanden ;). Wir hättän wahrscheinlich sehr viel zu plaudern. NW war eine der ersten Bands die diesen Stiel kreierten (1998 - das gleiche Jahr wie EB) nur hatte EB scheinbar den schlechteren Manager sonst wären sie nun ganz oben (wo sie meiner Meinung nach auch hingehören). NurTarj Turunen ist mit keiner anderen Sängerin im Rockbusines zu vergleichen - auch wenn Sabine ein Wahnsinn ist - und noch dazu wahnsinnig hübsch ist). Super dass Sie die finnische Rockszene kennen - Stratovarius, Apocalyptica, Kingston Wall, Sonata Arctica, Sturm und Drang, Sunrise Avenue, Teräsbetoni, The 69 Eyes oder Von Hertzen Brothers sind es auch wert sich mal anzu hören. Wär super EB mal nach Finnland zu bringen !!! Alles Gute und liebe Grüsze
