Your flowers are SO LOVELY outside your home! Watching you piping: Oh my gosh you're an amazing woman... I think I'd die if I had to pipe that many cake slices.... nope, I don't know if my recipe would allow me to pipe that many slices. As for the color not being dark brown, you might be able to add a dash of vanilla FO to your FO, to help it along to a deeper brown, maybe? Boy those sprinkles really set them off! Love it! I love these!! I made the whole soap cake and your right, it’s so hard to get even bars!!! What are the weights of your cakes each slice? This fragrance oil sounds amazing as well!! I could see discoloring towards the end of your beautiful piping. Your videos are my go to!! I can listen to you talk all day long!! Beautiful cake slices. I have used that fragrance before, but added a bit of cocoa powder to even out the base color. So I didn't know how long it would take to turn dark, normally. The cocoa smell does not last long.and made my cupcakes look natural though. Can't wait to see how you package these. Blessings 💕💕💕

Wink wink ; ) I know when they turn dark brown, they will look like a delicious slice of chocolate pie...the frosting would be just like the meringue. I was waiting for a good shake of some glitter too. Haha They are simply gorgeous!! I had to giggle a bit when ya pronounced "Dragees" ...I used to say it that way too. LOL It sounds like drazh-AY. I love that mold I use it too but I pipe on the other side, bottom up. Your slices turned out so nice and fluffy.....wonderful. Wondering if it discolors a lot, like the dark chocolate FO I from Brambleberry. Have a great day Hugs

Hi! I have a question about making the soap cake slices. I make these as well and when I use my normal recipe there’s this 1/4” layer of soft soap that doesn’t really harden like the rest of the bar. This doesn’t happen to me when I use my recipe in a loaf mold so I’m confused as to what I’m doing wrong. Does this ever happen to you? Do you use a different recipe or do anything differently when you use the cake slice mold? I can’t figure out why it happens only when I use that particular mold. I use the same ones you do so I don’t think it’s the molds I have. It’s frustrating because I have to plane the whole tops of the slices before I’m able to pipe on them properly ☹️ Any suggestions or advice would be so appreciated ❤️

Is the purpose of spraying the tops with alcohol prior to frosting to help the frosting stick since the soap was already hard?
