Recipe
This is the full batch size I used for the cake slices (for the topping see below)
RECIPE - Cold process Soap
OIL FAZE
700g. (24.6oz) Olive Oil (19.44%)
1000g (35.2oz) Sunflower (27.78%)
800g (28.2oz) Coconut Oil (22.22%)
800g (28.2oz) Palm Oil. (22.22%)
150g (5.2oz) Cocoa Butter. (4.17%)
150g (5.2oz) Shea Butter (4.17%)
WATER FAZE
524g (18.4oz) Sodium Hydroxide
700g (24.6oz) Distilled Water (if making simply for home use and not to sell, tap water will do finely)
You can increase your water content up to 1171g (41oz) if you prefer.
For the Topping Dipping Soap Use 10% of the above recipe!

Yes, the butterbeer at the park was quite yummy, as I like butterscotch. It was a bit sweet for my taste, but I find that often in the US. And, of course, your sonuts (soap donuts) are gorgeous! Fit for the precious folks around us, as well as our valued selves.

So sparkly and beautiful! Can I ask what percentage of fragrance oil do you use? I find that I am spending so much on fragrance oils.

In the U.K. from the safety assessment it’s the oil weight + 10% water weight+ lye weight add those together, then it’s 3% of that. So if you have 1000g oil 100g water 10% = 10g. These numbers are for Illustration purposes only 90g lye. 90g Total 1100g oil usage at 3% (unless fragrance oil has to be used at a lesser amount you have to check the safety statement for each fragrance) 3% of 1100g = 33g fragrance oil Always check your own fragrance oils usage rate for cps as some can only be used at a 1% usage rate. Hope this helps

How do you get these assessed. A company i was going to go with wanted to know the weight of glitter i use per bar of soap and wouldn't let me use embeds as they looked too much like food. Can anyone recommend any assessment companies?

Unfortunately, we can't make any soap look like food in UK due to the Food Imitation act. I have a CPSR getting done with The Soap Kitchen and they wont even allow small amounts of piped soap due to this law. Some soap makers are allowed and I'm still trying to figure out why its a rule for some and not others but unfortunately it can't be changed. I'm also not allowed to put melt and pour embeds on my cold process soap due to it being a different CPSR all together. It took the fun out of it honestly! hope this helps

Thank you... I do not touch the raw soap batter when dipping, also if I was to wear gloves when doing so, the glove fingers are longer than my fingers, so every time I dip the fingers of the gloves will dip into the soap batter, making a mess of the soaps and batter will dribble everywhere.
