I have been doing a Qs (Question 3, chapter 7D from yr 2 textbook) using your method of drawing out the clockwise and anticlockwise moments in the. But I'm not sure how to draw the triangles it when you are taking momnetns from the top, where the ladder lies against the smooth vertical wall.

i dont really get the triangles he's drawing either, i just find it easier to find the perpendicular components of forces and take the moments that way if that makes sense. just like youd do if you were taking moments usually, idk if ive explained that very well tho lol

@@suki8637 This comment was a while ago but in case anyone else was wondering, there's only a reaction force where the beam is touching a wall or floor. So no reaction at C, because C isn't touching a surface. Any forces at C will add to the reaction force at the floor or the wall. :)
