As someone who can’t do the shield thing to save his life, I’ve come up with an alternative… Decoys (Black) can hold the enemies attention while underground, letting you bunch them up safely for strikes and tricking them into destroying themselves

Smashing idea. Congratulations! I'll even add it to the farming guide, and yes, I'll quote you. Where did you install them, and yo where did you run away? Because the cannonball blast is pretty huge. The shield thing is pretty nasty to get going, and pretty nasty to do reliably. There are some theories that it works better if you use furniture to install them, and destroy the furniture later, but I found it to be as crappy as in normal walls. Shields and decoys are nasty to install and use with the new dumb all in the same button mechanic. Sandlot people clearly did not try to use it.

@@cris3f Well once you’re loaded into the mission you can use them as necessary, such as throwing one down at the beginning after jumping off the platform ASAP next the the NPC’s to buy you some time to get in the bunker (maybe also supplementing that with a quick round or 2 of artillery. Usually a use the Cannon DZ and a Napalm bombers to get this done). Of course if you don’t need to do the before (it’s more of a courtesy for if you’re playing with players that aren’t as fast as you or if you’re a bit on the slow side yourself), you can just book it into the bunker and retain all 3 decoys. Once IN the Bunker, you can either toss decoys down on the ramp (far enough to not be lace yourself in harms way, while keeping it deep enough for the decoy to not get hit by the enemy or your artillery), and also in the rooms in the building under the map (try to keep THOSE decoys far enough behind you that the enemy can’t one-shot you with those BS attacks that can reach down, but close enough that your artillery can envelop where they’re standing topside.) Either way, playing your cards right, you should be able to whittle down the enemy. Of course the biggest problem remains the giant Android and Grenadiers, but the latter can at least take care of themselves and surrounding allies as long as you manage to stay the F away from their blast radius. Truth be told, I only began experimenting with this a scant few hours last night after with, and have yet to beat this mission alone with this tactic (although I’ve been consistently coming close enough to recommend it, I’m just broke on armor and good weapons since the game just released west-wise.) I’ve had the best luck working with Wing Divers that can survive topside and stay out of harms way while I take care of most of the heavy lifting while they pick off the stragglers, and/or other air raiders that can do one or both of the glitches you did in this video.

@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire The problem I see with the decoys is their placement and yours. The only waves that can kill you are the second and 3rd. There 2 cannonball androids on each of them, and if they come on separate occasions it's going to be hell, because the second will blow you anyway. If I remember correctly the 2nd wave will come from the end of the rooms maze (right side of the map from start) If you put the decoys on the ramp they'll aggro to you before getting stuck to the decoys. The 3rd wave will be easier but still finnicky. They spawn on the back of the map. slightly to the left of the start position. In theory they will go by the elevated park area and so will be more likely to be attracted to decoys on the ramp. Easier but not guaranteed either. You won't have time to rebuild decoys, unless you're very lucky, so you're stuck with 3. Cannon DZ has the advantage of hits in a reasonable area with powerful shots. Vesta may be good, but I'm not sure that it has enough damage to blow up the cannonball androids. I don't remember a missions you could test with just one. But the idea is pretty good. Investigate further and publish a video when you're doing it somewhat reliably. Solo preferably. Have fun, And good luck.

@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire Not all. Red / purple ants are not, cosmos neither only suffer damage. But works well on androids, nakers, kruuls. They're quite better on 6 though. I do enjoy doing the Pyromaniac runs on 6 (and I'll have 5 videos too one day that I publish them). Since Sandlot ruined the no shooting runs, it's a lesser interesting but still nice alternative for idiocy. 😋😋

Use the room with the lockers. Climb to the top and angle run into the vent while placing bunkers. They will lay horizontally so they are above you. Bring everything down on top of you, I've done it 10 times in a row tonight no issue , if your bunkers are strong/ numerous enough you cannot die.

You'll know you're at the right place because everything in that room except those lockers can be destroyed

I tried extensively the furniture but they worked as badly as any wall, I even mentioned them in the description. Even the locker. But it's still a good option and if it works better for others, great. If you use a reasonably upgraded in damage resistance Absolute Bunker like I did, even one is enough to survive. I did it in online solo runs as in this video, where only 1 is above me. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah agreed this is only for ease of use in laying a bunker. No hassle, just stand at an angle and it'll lay them on their side. Useful if you have only lvl 32s or something since you'll need all 5 above you to be safe.

There are plenty of interesting and messy missions offline that provide lots of crates like this one, I have already a few other videos showing that. Online solo this is the easiest way.

Thanks for showing us the trick :) I tried for 30 minutes today but didn’t manage, I am sure it’s possible as I once accidentally performed the trick with fencer, when I blew myself inside lol. Not sure if they patched it but I don’t think so. Guess I’ll keep trying until getting it! Will let you know how it goes! Thanks again!

Hi. Read the description on this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWLcgoWwZ7NroM0 It's better detailed, sorry. I forget to replicate all the descriptions on all necessary videos. AR is easier to do the wall glitch than Ranger because you can trigger the explosive when you want, and not have it timed like with Ranger. It still requires some training. Do it on easy so that you have a lot more time to try. It took me a while to get it done for the first time, but once I managed around the 10th after I was doing it regularly. Installing the shields yes, is trickier and requires more training, and it's always finicky. If you need further help drop me a note. AR can do the mission without the wall trick with few issues. This works on dlc1 18 and is more consistent as the right side of the door isn’t placed correctly though you will need to grind to get good vehicles as there drop ships you have to kill and repeat the glitch

Hi. Blue bees and blue spiders are terrible to handle when you exit the tunnel. WD and Fencer can cheese the end of 1-18, but don't have an easy life up to that. Air Raider is the best class to do 1-18 anyway and there's just a troublesome part for him. I find cheeses and glitches interesting when they're easy and productive, when they get too annoying playing the mission in the traditional style is better.

Experiment on easy since you'll last longer, don't blow any androids and just keep trying. Took me a lot of tries to get that working and it's unreliable.
