Poe started weird/horror fiction, and also science fiction, with his balloon to the Moon story. He also did other writing about the universe, that later people like Einstein commented on. Yup, we have to catch up to Poe. Have this book, can’t wait to start it.

Poe's first horror story came out in 1832, and Frankenstein is from 1818. So I'm curious why this researcher credits him as the father of the horror genre, when other major entries into the canon happened much earlier.

Poe is more psychological terror, & fear. Frankenstein was more about humanism. A man name Scott D. DeHart wrote a book claiming Percy Shelley wrote F. I believe him.
