In case anyone is wondering... The "Roland SDE-1000" is a Digital Delay machine, with additional features, like chorus, and "Low Noise". Strange there is no mention of WHAT it is, esp. since its called "SDE" ... but SHOULD be called just "DD". Leaving people to guess what "S" and "E" are doing there... SDE? "Silly Demos Explained"... and thee's 1000 of them.

Have one of these and it will not hold the time setting. If you set for 300ms it starts wavering above and below that setting. Suspect bad caps, but need to fix it as it is so cool

it could be the potentiometer on the backside of the unit,give it a good clean with isopropylalcohol
