I was running this demo on an emulator on a modded Xbox and the ending freaked me out when it displayed the message and my controller started vibrating, I thought it had detected the emulator and froze

Of course its rendered, as this is a demo (in this case they used pictures as a base, but to save filesize they used algorithms to compress it)
