I had erased the notification for this video by mistake, when I tried to look for it I was puzzled with hair videos 🤣 (English is not my main language, and hair care is not among my subjects of interest. But skating is, and lately edges are the MAIN sub-subject!! Thank's!)

I've watched a crazy amount of videos in the past 3 month learning the basics and NOBODY mentioned this technique of leaning onto your edges until your wheels almost lift off the floor but not quite. No wonder I'm having trouble with my front crossovers. I'm scared to hold an outside edge when turning because I don't have that 'awareness', I don't know the tipping point of my edges. Thanks so much for this!

Have you come by truck adjustment and bushings (or cushions) choice? They affect how much your edges can work. A tight truck and hard bushings can make them extremely stiff, so that you'll fall before making a curve. Or they can be loose and soft so much that it's hard to stay in the center edge. Learning how far you can lean is important, but if you think the results aren't satisfactory, you may want to look at your gear

@@luablau Thank you. I have adjusted my trucks at the very beginning which did help a lot with everything, like bubbles and slaloms, etc. I'm sort of ok going around the corners of the rink with cross overs, but I'm still terrified of the straight line cross overs. I don't know if it's because they are meant to be sharper turns and I'm just not that aware of my edges or what. I'll look into bushings as well, thanks heaps. ♥️
